Overview
The Axial M2.5 x 10mm Flat Head Screws represent an essential replacement and upgrade component for RC enthusiasts maintaining and customising their scale models. Manufactured by Axial, a recognised leader in RC vehicle engineering and parts, these precision fasteners are engineered to exacting standards to ensure reliable performance in demanding RC applications. Whether you're a competitive racer, weekend basher, or serious hobbyist working on your RC car in the UK, having spare screws of the correct specification is crucial for keeping your model in peak condition.
These flat head machine screws are specifically designed for use on Axial RC vehicles, particularly the popular RBX10 Ryft 1/10 4WD Ready to Run models. The countersunk design means the screw head sits flush with the surrounding surface, creating a clean, professional appearance whilst maintaining aerodynamic integrity on your RC model. With ten screws supplied in each pack, you'll have sufficient spares to complete repairs, perform maintenance, or undertake custom modifications to your RC setup without the frustration of running out of fasteners mid-project.
RC model ownership demands attention to detail and access to quality replacement parts. These M2.5 x 10mm screws meet Axial's strict manufacturing tolerances, ensuring they thread smoothly into existing holes and provide secure fastening without stripping or cross-threading. Whether you're rebuilding after a heavy bashing session or fine-tuning your RC vehicle's setup, these hex-socket flat head screws deliver the reliability you expect from an authorised Axial component.
Key Features
- M2.5 Thread Size — The M2.5 metric thread diameter is the exact specification required for compatibility with Axial RBX10 Ryft models and other designated Axial RC vehicles, ensuring a perfect fit every time you need to secure components.
- 10mm Length — At precisely 10mm long, these screws provide the ideal fastening depth for the internal components and chassis assemblies on compatible Axial RC models, preventing over-penetration that could damage components or cause binding.
- Countersunk Flat Head Design — The countersunk head profile allows the screw to sit completely flush with the mounting surface, creating a professional finish whilst maintaining the correct aerodynamic profile and visual aesthetics of your RC model.
- Hex Socket Drive — Each screw features a hex socket that accepts a standard hex driver tool, enabling quick and efficient tightening and removal without the need for specialised equipment or risk of stripping the drive.
- Machine Thread Specification — These are machine thread screws rather than wood screws, meaning they feature precise, consistent thread pitches designed specifically for fastening into threaded holes in metal and plastic components typical of RC models.
- Black Finish — The black colour coating provides corrosion resistance and matches the aesthetic of most RC vehicles, maintaining visual consistency across your model's exterior and internal components.
- Pack of Ten — Ten screws per pack means you have sufficient quantity for a complete repair, maintenance session, or small modification project, with spares left over for future use.
- Genuine Axial Component — As an authentic Axial part, these screws guarantee compatibility and meet the manufacturer's quality standards, ensuring your RC vehicle performs reliably with parts designed specifically for it.
Technical Performance
Precision is paramount in RC vehicle ownership, and these M2.5 x 10mm flat head screws deliver the engineering accuracy required for serious hobbyists. Manufactured to metric M2.5 specifications, the thread pitch and diameter are calibrated to provide secure fastening in the pre-drilled and tapped holes found throughout Axial RC platforms. The machine thread design differs fundamentally from standard hardware store fasteners, featuring consistent thread engagement that prevents the stripping issues common with lower-grade components. The countersunk profile means the screw head retracts completely below the surface, maintaining the clean lines and precise aerodynamic form that Axial engineers design into their vehicles. Each screw's hex socket driver is precisely machined to accept standard metric hex tools without slipping or rounding, a critical feature for RC mechanics who demand reliability during high-stress maintenance or mid-event adjustments. The black finish provides enhanced corrosion resistance compared to bare metal, extending the service life of your fasteners in conditions ranging from dry bashing to damp British weather. Whether you're working on an Axial RBX10 Ryft in orange or black, these screws integrate seamlessly with Axial's engineering philosophy of providing purpose-built components that work together as a unified system.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What Axial RC models are these screws compatible with? — These M2.5 x 10mm flat head screws are compatible with the Axial RBX10 Ryft 1/10 4WD RTR models available in both orange and black variants. They may also fit other Axial RC vehicles that use the same M2.5 specification, though you should verify compatibility with your specific model before ordering to ensure correct fitment.
- Why should I choose these instead of generic M2.5 screws? — Genuine Axial components are engineered specifically for Axial vehicles, ensuring correct thread pitch, tolerance, and head geometry. Generic screws may fit initially but can lead to stripped threads, binding, or inconsistent clamping force. Using authentic Axial parts protects your investment in your RC model.
- How many screws do I get in each pack? — Each pack contains ten M2.5 x 10mm flat head screws, providing sufficient quantity for a complete maintenance session or repair project on your RC model, with extras available for future needs.
- What does flat head or countersunk mean? — A flat head or countersunk screw is designed so the head sits flush with or slightly below the surface of the material it's fastened into. This creates a clean, professional appearance on your RC vehicle and prevents the screw head from protruding, which could interfere with other components or affect your model's performance.
- Can these screws be used multiple times? — Yes, these machine thread screws can be reused multiple times provided the threads remain in good condition and the hex socket is not damaged. However, if you notice stripped threads or difficulty tightening, replace the screw to maintain secure fastening.
- What tools do I need to install these screws? — You'll need a metric hex socket driver (Allen key) that matches the size of the hex socket on these screws. Axial typically supplies these tools with their models, and they're also available as inexpensive replacement items from RC retailers across the UK.
- Are these screws suitable for outdoor RC bashing? — Yes, these screws are engineered for outdoor use on RC vehicles. The black finish provides corrosion resistance, making them suitable for use in damp conditions typical of British weather. Ensure you clean your model after use in wet conditions to maintain component longevity.
