Overview
The Axial Shock Shaft M3x50mm (2-piece set) is an essential replacement component designed specifically for the SCX10 III series of 1/10 scale RC rock crawlers. Whether you're running an Axial SCX10 III Jeep, Ford Bronco, Toyota SR5, or any other variant in this popular lineup, these shock shafts are critical wear items that may require replacement after intensive off-road use. As a UK RC hobbyist, maintaining your crawler with genuine Axial parts ensures optimal performance and longevity of your investment. This two-piece set provides everything you need to restore your suspension geometry and ride quality to factory specifications.
Shock shafts are fundamental to your RC crawler's suspension system, serving as the central rod that connects the shock body to the mounting points on your chassis. Over time, these components can wear, bend, or become damaged through normal operation, rock crawling, or impacts encountered during off-road adventures. Having replacement shafts on hand means you can quickly get back to the trail rather than waiting for repairs. The M3x50mm specification ensures perfect compatibility with your SCX10 III platform, whether you're a weekend basher exploring local terrain or a dedicated rock crawling enthusiast tackling challenging obstacles.
Axial is a recognised leader in scale RC crawler engineering, and their genuine replacement parts maintain the quality standards you expect from the brand. By choosing original Axial components, you're ensuring that your shock system functions exactly as the engineers intended, with precise tolerances and reliable performance. This shock shaft set represents the authentic choice for SCX10 III owners across the UK who demand quality spares for their beloved crawlers.
Key Features
- OEM Axial Component — These are genuine factory parts manufactured by Axial, ensuring they meet exact specifications and quality standards for your SCX10 III rock crawler, eliminating any compatibility concerns or fitment issues.
- Two-Piece Set — The pack includes two shock shafts, allowing you to replace both front and rear shocks in one purchase or keep spares for future maintenance needs, reducing downtime between rock crawling sessions.
- M3x50mm Specification — These shafts are precisely dimensioned at M3 diameter by 50mm length, meeting the exact requirements of SCX10 III suspension systems and ensuring perfect fit within your shock bodies.
- Universal SCX10 III Compatibility — These shafts work across the entire SCX10 III product family, including the Pro-Line 1982 Chevy K10, Base Camp 4X4, Coyote 4X4, 1987 Toyota SR5, Jeep JT Gladiator with Portals, Early Ford Bronco, and Jeep CJ-7 variants.
- Essential Suspension Maintenance — Shock shafts are wear items that can become bent or damaged during challenging rock crawling, and replacing them restores proper suspension damping and ride height geometry.
- Direct Replacement Parts — As original Axial spares, these shafts integrate seamlessly with your existing shock bodies, springs, and damping fluid, requiring no modifications or adaptations.
Technical Performance
The Axial Shock Shaft M3x50mm represents precision engineering in miniature form, critical to the performance of your 1/10 scale SCX10 III rock crawler. The M3 diameter provides sufficient structural rigidity to handle the forces generated during aggressive rock crawling whilst maintaining the lightweight profile necessary for proper weight distribution in your crawler's suspension geometry. The 50mm length is engineered to work with standard SCX10 III shock bodies, allowing proper compression and extension travel whilst maintaining consistent ride height. These shafts are manufactured to tight tolerances, ensuring smooth operation within shock bodies and preventing binding or resistance that could compromise suspension responsiveness. When shafts become damaged or bent—a common occurrence when navigating rocky terrain or recovering from impacts—suspension performance degrades significantly, potentially affecting ground clearance and articulation. By maintaining stock with genuine Axial replacement shafts, you ensure that your crawler's suspension system operates with the precision and consistency that makes the SCX10 III platform renowned among UK RC crawling enthusiasts. The two-piece set provides redundancy and ensures you can maintain your rig without extended downtime waiting for spare parts to arrive.
