Overview

The ARRMA Set Screw M4x6mm (4) Z-ARA724406 is an essential replacement hardware component designed for RC enthusiasts who own ARRMA vehicles and need reliable spare parts. Whether you are a seasoned RC car UK competitor or a casual weekend basher, having quality set screws on hand ensures your ready to run RC models stay in peak condition. These precision-manufactured fasteners are engineered to deliver consistent performance and durability, making them an indispensable addition to any RC modeller's toolkit.

Set screws are fundamental components in RC vehicles, used throughout chassis assemblies, motor mounts, and drivetrain systems where secure fastening is critical. When original set screws become worn, stripped, or lost during maintenance and servicing, having genuine ARRMA replacement parts ensures your RC car maintains factory-specification integrity. This four-pack provides multiple screws so you can complete repairs on one vehicle or keep spares for future use, offering excellent value and peace of mind.

Manufactured by ARRMA to the highest standards, these M4x6mm set screws are compatible with a range of ARRMA models including the 1/8 KRATON 6S EXB and TLR Tuned TYPHON 6S 4WD BLX. Investing in genuine factory parts means you are choosing reliability, compatibility and performance that matches your original equipment specifications exactly.

Key Features

  • Precision Manufactured Threads — Each set screw features precisely manufactured metric threads that ensure fast and consistent fastening during assembly and servicing, eliminating the frustration of stripped threads and loose components that can cause performance issues in high-speed RC applications.
  • Strong and Durable Steel Construction — Made from high-quality steel, these set screws deliver long-lasting performance even under the demanding stresses of competitive racing or aggressive off-road bashings, resisting stripping and deformation over extended use.
  • M4 x 6mm Metric Specification — The M4 diameter with 6mm overall length provides the exact fitment required for ARRMA vehicles, ensuring compatibility with original mounting points and delivering the correct clamping force without over-tightening or under-tightening issues.
  • Hex Socket Driver Type — The grub head design features a hex socket, allowing you to use standard hex drivers for quick and precise installation without damaging the fastener head, which is essential for reliable servicing in the field or at home.
  • Black Finish — The professional black finish provides durability and corrosion resistance, protecting the fasteners from wear and oxidation during use, particularly important if your RC car is used in damp UK weather conditions.
  • Machine Thread Profile — These are machine-threaded set screws designed to work with pre-tapped holes in ARRMA components, ensuring proper engagement and preventing cross-threading that can ruin expensive parts.
  • Four-Piece Pack — This convenient four-screw pack gives you multiple replacement options, allowing you to repair multiple vehicles or maintain a spare set for competitive events where reliability is paramount.

Technical Performance

The ARRMA Set Screw M4x6mm represents precision engineering at the fastener level, combining quality metallurgy with exacting manufacturing tolerances to deliver consistent performance in demanding RC applications. The M4 metric diameter provides the optimal balance between clamping force and component material compatibility, while the 6mm length is precisely calculated to engage threaded holes without protruding excessively or failing to achieve proper seating. The machine-threaded design ensures that each fastener engages cleanly with pre-tapped holes in ARRMA chassis, motor mounts, and drivetrain assemblies, eliminating the vibration and loosening issues that can occur with poorly fitted fasteners. These screws are particularly important in high-vibration areas such as motor mounts and suspension brackets, where even slight movement can affect handling and performance. The black steel finish provides both aesthetic consistency with professional-grade RC vehicles and practical corrosion resistance, which is essential for UK RC enthusiasts who may operate their vehicles in varied weather conditions including damp grass tracks and muddy off-road courses. Whether you are servicing a 1/8 KRATON 6S EXB or a TLR Tuned TYPHON 6S 4WD BLX, these set screws deliver the factory-specification performance that ARRMA engineers intended.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are these set screws compatible with my ARRMA RC car? — Yes, these M4x6mm set screws are specifically designed as genuine ARRMA replacement parts and are compatible with models including the 1/8 KRATON 6S EXB and the 1/8 TLR Tuned TYPHON 6S 4WD BLX. However, we recommend checking your vehicle's manual or consulting our team to confirm compatibility with your specific model, as different ARRMA vehicles use different fastener specifications.
  • How many set screws do I need? — This four-pack contains sufficient screws for typical maintenance and repairs on a single vehicle, though competitive racers often keep multiple packs on hand for events and practice sessions where fasteners may need frequent replacement or adjustment.
  • What is the difference between a set screw and a machine screw? — Set screws, also called grub screws, feature a socket in the head rather than a slot or Phillips drive, and are designed to be inserted into pre-tapped holes to hold components in place without protruding. The machine-threaded design means these screws work specifically with pre-threaded holes in ARRMA components for secure, repeatable fastening.
  • Why is precision thread manufacturing important in RC fasteners? — Precisely manufactured threads ensure that fasteners engage cleanly and consistently every time, preventing the stripped threads and loose components that can compromise vehicle performance, handling and reliability, particularly during competitive racing or aggressive bashing.
  • Can I use these screws as replacements for other brands? — No, these are ARRMA-specific fasteners designed to ARRMA specifications. Using non-compatible fasteners can result in poor fitment, stripped threads and potential damage to your RC vehicle. Always use genuine factory parts for your specific brand and model.
  • What tools do I need to install these set screws? — You will need a hex socket driver (Allen key) in the appropriate size for the M4x6mm hex socket. Most RC enthusiasts keep a set of metric hex drivers in their toolkit for general RC car maintenance and servicing.
