Overview
The ARRMA O-Ring, 4.8x2mm (4) Z-ARA716029 is an essential replacement part for RC enthusiasts and competitive drivers across the UK who demand reliability and performance from their RC vehicles. These precision-engineered o-rings are manufactured by ARRMA, a trusted name in high-performance RC cars, buggies, and trucks. Whether you're running an RC monster truck, stunt truck, or any ARRMA vehicle that requires regular maintenance, having spare o-rings in your toolkit is crucial for keeping your RC car UK-ready and performing at its best.
O-rings are critical sealing components found throughout RC vehicles, particularly in suspension systems, transmission housings, and fuel systems on nitro models. The 4.8x2mm specification makes these o-rings suitable for a variety of ARRMA platforms, and this pack contains four pieces, giving you multiple replacements or the ability to service several vehicles at once. For anyone serious about RC car maintenance, whether you're a weekend basher enjoying backyard jumps or a competitive racer pushing your brushless RC truck to the limit, keeping spare o-rings on hand prevents downtime and ensures your vehicles stay in top condition.
ARRMA's reputation for quality engineering extends to every component, including these o-rings. When o-rings wear, crack, or lose their elasticity over time—whether from heat exposure, UV degradation, or repeated compression cycles—they lose their sealing ability, which can lead to fluid leaks, contamination of critical systems, and potential mechanical failure. This pack of four o-rings ensures you're never caught without a replacement when servicing your ready to run RC truck, buggy, or other ARRMA vehicle.
Key Features
- Pack of Four O-Rings — This package contains four individual o-rings of the specified 4.8x2mm dimensions, giving you multiple replacement options and the ability to service several vehicles or perform a complete seal replacement across multiple component areas in a single vehicle.
- Precision Engineered for ARRMA Vehicles — These o-rings are manufactured to exact specifications by ARRMA and are designed to fit perfectly in ARRMA RC trucks, buggies, and other models that use this particular seal size, ensuring reliable performance and proper sealing without gaps or leaks.
- Compatible with Multiple ARRMA Models — These o-rings work with several ARRMA platforms including the 1/10 Kraton 4X4 4S V2 BLX Speed Monster Truck RTR, the 1/10 OUTCAST 4X4 4S V2 BLX Stunt Truck RTR, and the 1/5 scale variants of these vehicles, making them a versatile spare part for your RC collection.
- Essential Maintenance Component — O-rings are wear items that degrade with exposure to heat, ultraviolet light, and repeated compression cycles, making regular replacement an important part of preventative maintenance for any RC car UK driver who wants to avoid unexpected failures.
- Affordable and Economical — At just £4.74 per pack, these replacement o-rings represent exceptional value and are significantly cheaper than dealing with damage caused by failed seals, making them a smart investment for proactive vehicle maintenance.
Technical Performance
The ARRMA O-Ring, 4.8x2mm (4) Z-ARA716029 represents a fundamental but critical component in RC vehicle engineering. These o-rings are precision-manufactured elastomeric seals designed to create watertight and airtight seals in various RC applications. The 4.8mm inner diameter and 2mm cross-sectional thickness are engineered to fit specific ARRMA component cavities with minimal tolerance, ensuring a proper seal without being too loose or too tight. The material composition of ARRMA o-rings is selected to withstand the temperature ranges encountered in RC vehicles, whether during extended high-speed runs with brushless motors generating significant heat or in outdoor conditions where UV exposure and temperature fluctuations can degrade lesser-quality seals. These o-rings are suitable for use in suspension systems, transmission housings, differential carriers, and various hydraulic or fluid-containing compartments throughout ARRMA RC trucks and buggies. The pack of four allows you to replace multiple seals in a single service interval or maintain a well-stocked spare parts drawer for when o-rings inevitably wear and need replacement during regular maintenance of your RC vehicle fleet.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What ARRMA vehicles are compatible with the 4.8x2mm O-Ring Z-ARA716029? — These o-rings are compatible with the ARRMA 1/10 Kraton 4X4 4S V2 BLX Speed Monster Truck RTR (both standard and green variants), the ARRMA 1/10 OUTCAST 4X4 4S V2 BLX Stunt Truck RTR (both gunmetal and red versions), the ARRMA 1/5 Kraton 4X4 8S BLX EXB Brushless Monster Truck RTR in black, and the ARRMA 1/5 Outcast 4X4 8S BLX EXB Brushless Stunt Truck RTR in black, among other compatible ARRMA platforms.
- How often should I replace o-rings on my ARRMA RC truck? — O-ring replacement frequency depends on usage intensity, storage conditions, and environmental exposure. O-rings degrade from heat cycles during high-speed running, UV exposure when the vehicle is left in sunlight, and mechanical compression over time. Most RC enthusiasts inspect o-rings during routine maintenance and replace them if they show signs of cracking, permanent deformation, loss of elasticity, or visible wear, typically every 6-12 months of regular use or immediately if leaks develop.
- Why is my ARRMA RC vehicle leaking fluid? — Fluid leaks in RC vehicles are commonly caused by degraded or failed o-rings that have lost their sealing ability due to age, heat damage, or mechanical wear. If you notice oil, fuel, or other liquids leaking from your RC truck or buggy, the first step is to inspect the o-rings in that area. These replacement o-rings from ARRMA should resolve the issue if seal failure is the cause.
- Can I use o-rings from other brands as substitutes? — Whilst o-rings of the same 4.8x2mm dimensions from other manufacturers might fit physically, ARRMA-branded o-rings are engineered specifically for ARRMA vehicles and specifications. Using non-ARRMA o-rings risks poor sealing performance, potential leaks, and possible damage to your RC vehicle. It's recommended to use genuine ARRMA replacement parts for the best reliability.
- Are these o-rings included with new ARRMA vehicles? — Most ARRMA ready to run RC vehicles come with standard o-rings pre-installed, but spares are not typically included in the box. This pack of four provides replacement o-rings for maintenance and upkeep, or spares for your parts bin.
