Overview
These high-quality ARRMA Shock Springs are precision-engineered suspension components specifically selected to provide the perfect suspension performance for your ARRMA RC vehicle. Whether you're running a 1/7 scale monster truck, a 1/8 scale buggy, or a stunt truck, these replacement shock springs are essential for maintaining optimal ride quality, handling characteristics and off-road performance. If you're shopping for RC car parts in the UK or looking to upgrade your ready to run RC vehicle's suspension setup, these genuine ARRMA springs deliver the consistent damping and spring rate control that serious bashers and competitive drivers depend on.
Shock springs are a critical wear component on any high-performance RC car or truck. Over time, springs lose their original tension and can become fatigued from hard impacts, jumps and aggressive driving. When you notice your vehicle sitting lower than it should, or when the suspension feels less responsive over bumps and obstacles, it's time to replace your shock springs. These ARRMA springs come manufactured to exacting standards, ensuring that your suspension geometry remains correct and your vehicle maintains the handling balance the engineers originally designed into your RC truck or buggy.
Available as a pair (two springs per pack), these shock springs integrate seamlessly with your existing ARRMA suspension system. The 85mm length and precisely calibrated 1.21N/mm spring rate make these springs compatible with a range of popular ARRMA models from the 1/7 BIG ROCK and FIRETEAM, through to the 1/8 KRATON and NOTORIOUS platform trucks. Whether you're a weekend basher enjoying the outdoors or a serious competitor looking to maintain peak performance, keeping spare shock springs on hand is simply good practice.
Key Features
- Strong and durable spring steel construction — Manufactured from premium spring steel, these components are engineered to withstand the intense stresses of off-road RC driving without permanent deformation or loss of tension, providing long-lasting and consistent suspension performance through hundreds of hours of use.
- Precision manufactured for fast and easy fit — Each spring is produced to exacting tolerances, ensuring perfect compatibility with your ARRMA shock absorber assembly and allowing you to swap them out in minutes without requiring special tools or technical expertise.
- Painted black for stealth looks — The factory black finish gives these springs a clean, professional appearance that matches the aesthetic of modern ARRMA vehicles, maintaining the visual appeal of your RC truck or buggy even when examining the suspension components up close.
- Optimised 1.21N/mm spring rate — This specific spring constant (measuring 6.91 lbf/in) has been carefully selected by ARRMA engineers to deliver the ideal balance between impact absorption and responsive handling, ensuring your vehicle performs consistently across a variety of terrain types.
- 85mm length specification — The 85mm measurement ensures these springs compress and extend through the correct range of motion within your shock towers, maintaining proper suspension geometry and preventing binding or bottoming out during aggressive driving.
Technical Performance
These ARRMA Shock Springs represent the manufacturer's commitment to suspension engineering excellence. The 85mm length combined with the 1.21N/mm spring rate has been validated across multiple ARRMA platforms, from the powerful 1/7 scale BIG ROCK 6S 4X4 RTR brushless monster truck down to the nimble 1/8 KRATON and NOTORIOUS models. The springs feature a 24mm outer diameter and 1.70mm wire diameter, creating the precise load curve necessary for controlled suspension travel on both smooth tracks and rough outdoor terrain. Manufacturing each spring to consistent specifications ensures that when you install a pair, both sides of your vehicle will have identical suspension characteristics, eliminating handling imbalances that could affect cornering grip or stability. The spring steel material has been selected for its fatigue resistance, meaning these springs maintain their original tension through thousands of compress-and-extend cycles, even under the demanding conditions of competitive off-road racing or recreational bashing. Whether you're upgraading from worn factory springs or building a spare shock tower assembly, these ARRMA springs provide the engineering quality and performance repeatability that distinguishes genuine OEM parts from aftermarket alternatives.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What ARRMA vehicles are these shock springs compatible with? — According to ARRMA's official parts fitment data, these 85mm 1.21N/mm springs are standard parts for the 1/7 BIG ROCK 6S 4X4 RTR Brushless Monster Truck (ARA7612), the 1/7 FIRETEAM 6S 4X4 RTR Brushless Buggy (ARA7618), the 1/8 KRATON 6S 4X4 RTR Brushless Speed Truck (ARA8608V6), the 1/8 KRATON 6S EXB 4X4 RTR Brushless Speed Truck (ARA8708V6), the 1/8 KRATON 6S EXB AVC 4X4 RTR Brushless Speed Truck in Black (ARA8708T1), and the 1/8 NOTORIOUS 6S 4X4 RTR Brushless Stunt Truck (ARA8611V6). Always verify your specific model number before ordering.
- How often should I replace my RC shock springs? — Spring replacement intervals depend on your driving intensity and terrain. Weekend bashers on rough outdoor tracks may notice decreased suspension response after 2-3 months of regular use, whilst competitive drivers might require replacements every month or more frequently. If your vehicle sits lower than it should or feels less responsive over bumps, it's time to install fresh springs.
- What is the difference between 1.21N/mm and other spring rates? — The N/mm (Newtons per millimetre) rating indicates how much force is required to compress the spring by one millimetre. A 1.21N/mm spring rate (6.91 lbf/in in imperial measurements) is considered a medium-stiffness setting, suitable for general-purpose off-road driving that balances comfort and responsiveness. Softer springs compress more easily for smoother rides, whilst stiffer springs provide more resistance for sharper handling.
- Can I use different spring rates on my RC vehicle? — Technically yes, but it's not recommended without careful tuning. Mismatched spring rates between the front and rear will create handling imbalances. ARRMA vehicles are engineered to perform optimally with matched sets, which is why these springs come as a pair.
- Are these genuine ARRMA parts? — Yes, these are authentic ARRMA OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) shock springs bearing the official ARRMA part number ARA330780. Purchasing genuine parts ensures perfect fitment and consistent performance.
