Overview

The ARRMA Shock Springs, 110mm 0.63N/sq.m (3.6 f-lb/in) (2) Z-ARA330642 are precision-engineered suspension components designed to give you complete control over your RC vehicle's handling characteristics. Whether you're fine-tuning your 1/7 scale ARRMA desert truck for competitive racing or optimising your weekend basher for maximum performance, these shock springs allow you to adjust your setup in seconds without requiring specialist tools or technical expertise. As an authorised ARRMA dealer, RC Model Shop stocks genuine replacement parts and upgrade components that help you get the absolute best performance from your RC car UK.

These suspension springs are manufactured to the highest standards and represent one of the easiest and most effective ways to dial in your vehicle's handling. If you're new to RC tuning, shock springs are where most drivers start when learning to optimise their setup. By changing spring rates, you can influence how your vehicle responds to bumps, corners and acceleration, making these modest-looking components absolutely critical to achieving the perfect balance between control and comfort. They're equally valuable whether you're running a brushless RC desert truck, a competition-grade machine, or a ready to run RC vehicle fresh from the box.

ARRMA's commitment to quality means you're getting genuine shock springs that will deliver consistent performance over thousands of driving cycles. These are not budget alternatives or third-party components — they're the original equipment engineered specifically for your vehicle's suspension geometry and weight distribution. Available now at RC Model Shop, these shock springs represent an affordable upgrade that delivers real, measurable improvements to your RC car's on-track or off-track performance.

Key Features

  • Precision Manufactured Spring Steel — Each shock spring is manufactured from high-grade spring steel using precision tolerances, which ensures that both springs in the pack deliver identical performance characteristics and consistent response across your vehicle's suspension system.
  • Fast Setup Tuning — By simply swapping out your existing shock springs for a different rate, you can fine-tune your vehicle's handling characteristics in seconds without needing to disassemble your shocks or make other modifications to your suspension geometry.
  • Long-Lasting Durability — ARRMA's spring steel construction resists fatigue cracking, corrosion and permanent deformation, meaning these shock springs will maintain their performance characteristics across countless miles of driving rather than losing their spring rate over time.
  • Genuine OEM Components — These are the original equipment shock springs designed specifically for ARRMA vehicles, engineered to work perfectly with ARRMA's suspension design and damper characteristics for optimised vehicle balance.
  • Pair of Two Springs — The package includes two shock springs, providing you with one complete set for front and rear suspension tuning or spares for extended racing seasons.

Technical Performance

The ARRMA Shock Springs measure 110mm in length and provide a spring rate of 0.63N/mm (3.6 lbf/in), delivering a medium-stiffness suspension setup suitable for a wide variety of driving conditions and track surfaces. The 110mm length is specifically engineered to fit ARRMA's shock absorber bodies without modifications, ensuring perfect compatibility and correct suspension geometry. This spring rate sits in the middle of ARRMA's suspension tuning range, making it an ideal starting point for new drivers learning to tune their RC vehicles or an excellent replacement option for drivers whose original springs have worn or lost their rate over time. The precision-manufactured spring steel construction ensures minimal tolerance variation between the two springs in the package, which is essential for balanced handling across your vehicle's front and rear axles. Whether you're driving a 1/7 scale ARRMA Mojave brushless desert truck or another compatible ARRMA model, these springs will integrate seamlessly into your existing suspension setup and deliver improved handling consistency compared to worn or damaged original equipment springs.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What ARRMA vehicles are these shock springs compatible with? — These shock springs are standard equipment and optional upgrade parts for ARRMA 1/7 scale vehicles including the MOJAVE 6S 4X4 RTR brushless desert truck. They will fit the ARA106058, ARA7604V2 and ARA7204 models. For other ARRMA vehicles, please verify compatibility before ordering.
  • How do shock springs affect my RC vehicle's handling? — Stiffer shock springs reduce suspension travel and make your vehicle respond more sharply to inputs, which is ideal for high-speed racing and smooth surfaces. Softer springs allow more suspension travel, providing better grip and stability on rough terrain but potentially reducing precision on smooth tracks. These springs offer a medium rate suitable for general-purpose driving and tuning.
  • Why should I replace my original shock springs? — Over time, springs lose their rate due to metal fatigue and constant compression cycles. If your vehicle feels less responsive or sits lower than it used to, replacing the shock springs with new genuine ARRMA equipment will restore your vehicle's original handling characteristics and suspension geometry.
  • Are shock springs difficult to install? — Shock spring replacement is one of the simplest RC maintenance tasks. You simply remove your shock absorbers, slide out the old springs, insert the new springs, and reinstall your shocks — a process that takes just a few minutes with basic tools.
  • What is the difference between 0.63N/mm and other spring rates? — Spring rate is measured in Newtons per millimetre, indicating how much force is required to compress the spring by one millimetre. A 0.63N/mm spring is considered a medium rate. Stiffer springs (higher numbers like 0.84 or 1.06) compress less easily and are better for high-speed driving, whilst softer springs (lower numbers like 0.42) provide more suspension compliance for rough terrain.
  • Do I need to replace shock springs regularly? — With proper maintenance and storage, shock springs last many years of active driving. However, if you notice your vehicle sitting lower than expected, handling becoming unpredictable, or your original springs showing visible cracks, replacement is recommended.
