Overview

The ARRMA Shock Springs, 70mm 1.23N/sq.m (7 f-lb/in) (2) represent an essential tuning component for any serious RC enthusiast looking to optimise their vehicle's handling characteristics. These precision-engineered suspension springs allow you to dial in the perfect balance between comfort and control in seconds, making them an invaluable upgrade for both competitive racing and weekend bashing. Whether you're running an RC truck UK-wide or fine-tuning a high-performance desert buggy, these shock springs give you the flexibility to adjust your suspension setup without needing specialist tools or technical knowledge.

As an official ARRMA component, these springs are manufactured to the exacting standards expected from the brand's range of high-performance ready to run RC vehicles. They're designed specifically for compatibility with ARRMA's 1/7 scale models, including the legendary MOJAVE 6S 4X4 brushless desert truck platform. If you're serious about getting the most from your RC car UK setup, having a selection of different spring rates on hand is essential for testing and tuning your suspension across different terrain and weather conditions.

These shock springs deliver the performance and consistency you need to extract maximum grip and responsiveness from your RC truck or buggy. Available now at RC Model Shop, they're an affordable way to unlock your vehicle's full potential and experiment with different suspension geometries to suit your driving style and local track conditions.

Key Features

  • Precision Manufactured Spring Steel — Constructed from high-quality spring steel that delivers consistent performance over thousands of shock cycles, ensuring your suspension tuning remains stable and predictable whether you're racing competitively or enjoying casual bashings with friends.
  • 70mm Length — Manufactured to the exact 70mm specification required by ARRMA's 1/7 scale models, ensuring perfect fitment and maintaining the correct suspension geometry for optimal handling characteristics.
  • 1.23N/mm (7 lb/in) Spring Rate — This medium spring rate provides excellent all-round performance, offering a balanced setup suitable for various terrains and driving styles, with the flexibility to pair with softer or stiffer rates for fine-tuning.
  • Pair of Two Springs — Each package includes two springs, allowing you to replace both rear shocks simultaneously and maintain balanced suspension performance across your vehicle's rear axle.
  • Long-Lasting Durability — The precision manufacturing process and quality materials ensure these springs maintain their characteristics over extended use, resisting fatigue and delivering reliable performance season after season.
  • Quick Suspension Tuning — Springs can be swapped in seconds without the need for specialist tools or technical expertise, allowing you to test different setups and adapt to changing track conditions mid-event.

Technical Performance

These ARRMA shock springs represent the kind of precision engineering that separates genuine manufacturer components from generic alternatives. Manufactured from premium spring steel, they've been engineered to deliver consistent spring rates that remain stable through thousands of compression and rebound cycles. The 70mm length is precisely calibrated for ARRMA's 1/7 scale suspension geometry, ensuring that when installed alongside compatible dampers, they maintain the correct ride height and geometry angles essential for predictable handling. The 1.23N/mm spring rate (equivalent to 7 lb/in in imperial measurements) strikes an excellent balance for general-purpose RC use, providing enough compliance to absorb track imperfections and small obstacles without excessive body roll during aggressive cornering. Whether you're competing in 1/7 scale desert racing with a brushless MOJAVE 6S RTR truck or simply enjoying recreational off-road bashing, having the correct spring rate installed is fundamental to consistent handling performance. These springs work in concert with your shock absorber dampers to control suspension movement, with the springs providing the restoring force that returns the suspension to its rest position after compression. When paired with appropriately valved dampers and maintained at proper pre-load settings, they contribute significantly to your vehicle's overall grip, stability and driver confidence at the controls.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What ARRMA models are these shock springs compatible with? — These 70mm 1.23N/sq.m springs are listed as compatible with the ARRMA ARA106058 1/7 MOJAVE 6S 4X4 RTR Brushless Desert Truck and the ARA7604V2 variant, as well as the ARA7204 1/7 MOJAVE 6S EXB 4X4 Roller Brushless Desert Truck. Always verify your specific model number against the official ARRMA fitment guide before ordering.
  • Why would I need different shock spring rates? — Different spring rates allow you to tune your suspension for various conditions: softer springs for smoother, more comfortable rides on rough terrain, and stiffer springs for tighter handling and reduced body roll during aggressive cornering. Having multiple spring rates available lets you experiment and find the perfect setup for your driving style and local track conditions.
  • Are these suitable for beginners? — Yes, absolutely. Shock springs are one of the most accessible suspension tuning components because they require no special tools to install and the effect on handling is immediately noticeable. Beginners can easily swap springs to understand how suspension tuning affects their vehicle's performance, making this an excellent learning tool.
  • How do I know which spring rate to choose? — The 1.23N/mm (7 lb/in) rate provided here is a versatile medium option suitable for general-purpose use across most conditions. If your vehicle feels too soft and wallows through corners, you might try a stiffer spring; if the ride feels too harsh and bouncy, a softer spring may help. Starting with this medium rate and comparing with alternatives is the best approach for finding your ideal setup.
  • What is the difference between these ARRMA springs and aftermarket alternatives? — As genuine ARRMA manufacturer components, these springs have been engineered specifically for the brand's suspension architecture and geometry. They're manufactured to precise tolerances and made from premium spring steel selected for consistency and durability. Official parts ensure exact fitment and performance characteristics that match the vehicle's original design specifications.
  • Can I use these springs with other shock absorbers? — These springs are designed for ARRMA shock assemblies on compatible 1/7 scale models. Whilst the springs themselves are universal-fit components, you must ensure they're paired with damper bodies of the correct length and that the complete assembly maintains proper suspension geometry for safe, predictable handling.
