Key Features
- Super-tough steel construction — Manufactured from high-grade steel, these set screws deliver exceptional durability and resistance to stripping or deformation, ensuring they maintain their integrity even under the vibration and stress of high-speed RC driving and bashing.
- Precision-manufactured threads — Each set screw is engineered with precisely cut machine threads that guarantee smooth, reliable engagement with corresponding threaded holes, making installation quick and straightforward without cross-threading or fitting difficulties.
- M3x10mm specification — The M3 thread size with 10mm length is a standard fastening size used throughout ARRMA RC vehicles and many other leading RC car brands, making these screws compatible with a wide range of models and applications.
- Hex driver type — These grub screws feature a hex socket head, allowing you to use standard RC hex wrenches or Allen keys for tightening and loosening, providing secure, positive engagement that prevents slip-outs during use.
- Pack of 10 — Each pack contains 10 individual set screws, giving you multiple spares to carry in your RC tool box for emergency repairs, component replacement, or routine maintenance across several vehicles.
- Black finish — The durable black coating provides corrosion resistance and a professional appearance while maintaining the aesthetic consistency of your RC model's internal components.
Technical Performance
The ARRMA Set Screw 3x10mm Z-AR724310 represents the engineering standards you expect from a manufacturer that produces world-class RC vehicles. These are not generic fasteners—they are precision-manufactured components engineered to ARRMA's specifications for reliable performance in demanding RC applications. The M3 thread diameter provides optimal clamping force without over-stressing the material or damaging mounting points, whilst the 10mm length is perfectly calibrated for the standard component spacing found throughout ARRMA's 1/10 scale RC models and compatible vehicles from other manufacturers. The machine thread design ensures that repeated fastening and loosening cycles do not degrade the thread integrity, a critical consideration when you're regularly accessing components for maintenance, adjustment, or repair. The super-tough steel specification means these screws resist stripping—the most common failure mode of inferior fasteners—even when used with standard RC-grade tools. The black finish provides both aesthetic consistency and a protective layer against corrosion, particularly important if your RC car sees exposure to damp UK weather conditions or track prep fluids.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What are set screws used for in RC cars and vehicles? — Set screws are fastening components used to secure components to shafts, hold motor mounts in place, secure gearbox assemblies, and fasten suspension and drive train elements. They are essential fasteners found throughout RC vehicle designs, and having spares ensures you can quickly complete repairs without waiting for delivery.
- Why should I carry spare set screws in my RC tool box? — Set screws are small, easy to lose, and critical to vehicle function. During intense RC bashing or racing sessions, vibration can loosen fasteners, and quick-access spares allow you to tighten, replace, or adjust components without interrupting your RC driving experience. A pack of 10 gives you sufficient spares for multiple repairs.
- Is the M3x10mm size compatible with my ARRMA RC model? — The M3x10mm specification is a standard fastening size used throughout ARRMA's range of 1/10 scale RC vehicles, including buggies, monster trucks, and other models. However, always verify compatibility with your specific model's manual or documentation before ordering.
- What is the difference between set screws and bolts? — Set screws are headless fasteners with a socket or slot for driving, designed to clamp or secure objects without requiring a nut. Bolts have a head and typically require a nut. Set screws are preferred in RC applications where space is limited and a low-profile fastening solution is needed.
- How many set screws do I need? — This depends on your RC vehicle and the number of components you access regularly. A standard RC car may use 5-15 set screws. Since this pack contains 10, it's ideal for replacing lost fasteners, maintaining multiple vehicles, or keeping a complete spare inventory in your tool box.
- Are these genuine ARRMA parts? — Yes, these are genuine ARRMA components supplied by RC Model Shop, an authorised ARRMA retailer. Genuine parts ensure compatibility, reliability, and performance across your RC vehicle portfolio.
