Overview

The ARRMA 1/10 Medium Foam Insert (2) Z-AR530065 is an essential component for RC car enthusiasts in the UK who demand consistent performance across all off-road surfaces. Whether you're a seasoned racer, weekend basher, or just getting started with RC car UK models, these precision-engineered foam tyre inserts are designed to deliver optimal handling characteristics and durability. Manufactured by ARRMA, a leading name in the RC hobby industry, these foam inserts represent the perfect upgrade or replacement for your 1/10 scale RC truck, buggy, or truggy.

Foam tyre inserts play a critical role in RC vehicle performance, working alongside your rubber tyres to absorb impacts, maintain structural integrity during high-speed runs, and ensure predictable cornering behaviour. The medium foam compound in this two-pack strikes an excellent balance between compliance and stiffness, making these inserts suitable for a wide variety of driving conditions and surface types. Whether you're driving on dirt, grass, concrete, or mixed terrain, these ARRMA foam inserts will help your RC car deliver the responsiveness and control you expect from a quality brushless RC vehicle.

For anyone operating ready to run RC cars or building a custom RC buggy setup, having quality foam inserts is non-negotiable. These Z-AR530065 inserts are manufactured to exact tolerances to ensure they fit perfectly within your 2.8-inch diameter tyre carcass, eliminating fitment issues and performance inconsistencies that can occur with poorly made alternatives.

Key Features

  • High-Quality Materials — These foam inserts are manufactured from premium materials specifically chosen for their durability and performance characteristics, ensuring that your investment will withstand countless hours of driving without degrading or losing their structural properties.
  • Precision Manufacturing — Each insert is manufactured to exact specifications for an accurate fit within the tyre carcass, eliminating wobbling, shifting, or misalignment that could compromise your RC car's handling and steering response.
  • Medium Foam Compound — The medium hardness foam provides the ideal balance of off-road compliance and cornering stiffness, allowing your RC truck or buggy to maintain traction on uneven surfaces whilst delivering predictable, responsive steering through corners.
  • Optimised for All Surfaces — Whether you're driving on dirt tracks, grass fields, rocky terrain, or hard-packed surfaces, the medium foam compound has been engineered to perform consistently across the full range of off-road environments that RC enthusiasts in the UK encounter.
  • Two-Piece Pack — This pack includes two foam inserts suitable for either front and rear positions, making it perfect for replacing a complete set or maintaining performance consistency across both axles.

Technical Performance

The ARRMA 1/10 Medium Foam Insert set delivers exceptional engineering in a small but crucial component. The medium foam compound is the result of careful material science, designed specifically to balance two competing demands: providing enough compliance to absorb impacts and maintain traction on irregular surfaces, whilst maintaining sufficient stiffness to support responsive cornering and prevent excessive tyre roll. This balance is particularly important for RC enthusiasts running 1/10 scale trucks and buggies on varied terrain, where tyres must handle everything from smooth concrete to loose dirt and grass. The precision manufacturing process ensures that each insert fits perfectly within a 2.8-inch diameter tyre carcass, eliminating the gaps or inconsistencies that can develop with cheaper alternatives. These inserts are manufactured as part of ARRMA's commitment to providing quality components that support long-lasting durability and consistent performance. For owners of brushless RC cars operating on batteries, these inserts contribute to overall vehicle reliability by maintaining tyre integrity and supporting your ESC and motor's performance through demanding driving sessions. The consistent performance of these foam inserts means you'll experience predictable handling characteristics session after session, allowing you to build confidence and improve your driving skills without worrying about equipment variability.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the purpose of foam tyre inserts in RC cars? — Foam inserts sit inside the rubber tyre and work together to provide structural support, absorb impacts from bumps and jumps, and maintain tyre integrity during high-speed cornering. They prevent the tyre from collapsing under load and help maintain consistent handling characteristics throughout a driving session.
  • What does medium foam compound mean? — Medium foam compound refers to the hardness of the foam material. Medium firmness provides an excellent balance between compliance (the ability to absorb bumps and maintain traction) and stiffness (the ability to support responsive cornering and prevent excessive tyre roll). This makes medium foam inserts versatile for driving on various surfaces.
  • What tyres are these compatible with? — These ARRMA foam inserts are designed for 2.8-inch diameter tyres commonly found on 1/10 scale off-road RC trucks, buggies, and similar vehicles. The precision manufacturing ensures they fit perfectly within the tyre carcass without gaps or shifting.
  • Can I use these on both front and rear? — Yes, the pack includes two inserts which can be used on either the front or rear axles, or any combination thereof. They are position-agnostic and will provide consistent performance wherever they are installed.
  • How often do foam inserts need replacing? — Foam inserts can last a very long time with proper care, but they should be inspected regularly for damage, compression, or deterioration. If you notice reduced tyre performance, tyre damage, or structural failure of the inserts, replacement is recommended to maintain your RC car's handling characteristics.
  • Are these suitable for beginners? — Absolutely. Foam tyre inserts are essential components for any RC car and are not just for experienced racers. Beginners benefit equally from quality inserts, as they directly contribute to predictable handling, safety, and enjoyment of your RC hobby.
  • Why choose ARRMA foam inserts? — ARRMA is a recognised manufacturer of quality RC components. These foam inserts are engineered with precision manufacturing and high-quality materials to ensure durability and consistent performance, backed by ARRMA's reputation in the RC hobby industry.
