Key Features
- Precision Composite and Steel Construction — The drive shaft is manufactured from super-strong composite material engineered for durability combined with steel reinforcement, delivering superior strength compared to plastic alternatives. This hybrid construction approach ensures the shaft can handle the demanding torque and stress of aggressive driving whilst remaining lightweight for optimal performance.
- Moulded-in Steel CVD Balls — Strong steel CVD balls are moulded directly into both the male and female drive shaft components, providing ultimate durability and consistent performance under extreme conditions. This integrated design prevents ball displacement and ensures reliable power transfer from the motor to the wheels without slippage or degradation over time.
- CVD Pin Sleeve System — Sleeves are specifically designed to capture the CVD pins, delivering maximum reliability and longevity during operation. This innovative engineering prevents pin wear and ensures the drive shaft maintains its performance characteristics throughout its service life, even under heavy use.
- Smooth Sliding Operation — The sliding drive shaft design is optimised for super-smooth operation, reducing vibration and stress on connected components. This smooth action translates to better handling, improved traction, and a more responsive driving experience whether you're bashing around the garden or competing on the track.
- Complete Package — Supplied with everything needed for installation, including the CVD sliding drive shaft itself, CVD axle pin sleeve, and CVD diff outdrive pin sleeve. You'll have all the necessary components to fit and maintain the drive shaft without requiring additional purchases.
Technical Performance
The ARRMA CVD Composite Slider Driveshaft Z-AR310866 represents professional-grade engineering tailored specifically for the ARRMA 4x4 MEGA BLX platform. The combination of composite material and steel construction creates a drive shaft that balances weight savings with exceptional durability. The moulded-in steel CVD balls eliminate weak points that typically fail under stress, whilst the sleeve capture system prevents pin migration and wear. This design philosophy ensures consistent performance whether you're driving in tight competitive racing environments or engaging in wild off-road bashing sessions. The precision manufacturing process guarantees tight tolerances and perfect fit alignment, minimising backlash and maximising power transmission efficiency. For RC car enthusiasts in the UK looking for a reliable transmission upgrade that delivers both performance and longevity, this CVD composite slider drive shaft provides the engineering excellence that ARRMA is recognised for across the global RC community.
