Overview

The ARRMA Composite Slipper Clutch Nut (2) 4x4 Z-AR310808 is an essential replacement spare part designed for RC enthusiasts who demand reliability and precision from their 4WD RC vehicles. Whether you're a dedicated basher enjoying weekend runs or a competitive racer pushing your RC car to the limit, maintaining your drivetrain with genuine ARRMA components is crucial to sustained performance. These composite nuts are precision manufactured to the exacting standards ARRMA is known for, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with your vehicle's transmission and slipper clutch system.

For anyone investing in a 4WD RC car UK enthusiasts trust—whether that's an ARRMA 4x4 buggy, truck, or crawler—having access to quality replacement parts is vital. The slipper clutch is a critical component that protects your vehicle's drivetrain from damage during hard acceleration or impact. The nuts that secure this system must maintain consistent tolerances and durability to prevent slippage or mechanical failure. This pack of two composite slipper clutch nuts gives you a spare set to keep your RC vehicle running at peak efficiency.

ARRMA's commitment to quality means these composite nuts undergo rigorous precision manufacturing to provide consistent fit to your vehicle, regardless of whether you're running a stock setup or a tuned racing configuration. The composite material used in their construction offers the perfect balance between durability and weight, contributing to your RC car's overall performance characteristics.

Key Features

  • Precision Manufactured Composite Construction — Each nut is produced to exacting tolerances, ensuring a consistent, reliable fit to your vehicle's slipper clutch assembly and preventing issues caused by loose or worn components that could compromise drivetrain integrity.
  • Tough Composite Material — The composite material selected for these nuts provides excellent durability and long-lasting, reliable performance under the demanding conditions of RC racing and bashing, resisting wear and maintaining structural integrity through countless drive cycles.
  • Pack of Two — This spare pack includes two composite slipper clutch nuts, giving you a replacement set and a spare for future maintenance or to keep as emergency backup parts for your RC 4x4 vehicle.
  • Genuine ARRMA Component — As an official ARRMA spare part, these nuts are engineered to match the original specification and performance characteristics of your vehicle's drivetrain, ensuring compatibility and reliability across the entire ARRMA 4x4 range.

Technical Performance

The composite slipper clutch nut is a small but critical component within your RC vehicle's drivetrain system. The slipper clutch itself is designed to slip under excessive load—protecting the motor, transmission gears, and other components from catastrophic damage when your RC car hits an obstacle or experiences sudden deceleration. The nuts that secure this assembly must maintain precise fit and excellent material strength to prevent the clutch from shifting or becoming unstable during operation. ARRMA's composite material selection reflects years of experience in 4WD RC vehicle engineering, balancing weight reduction with structural rigidity. The precision manufacturing process ensures that each nut meets identical specifications, meaning replacement is straightforward and maintains your vehicle's original handling characteristics and drivetrain response. Whether you're running a stock motor setup or a high-performance brushless system with upgraded gearing, these composite nuts will maintain reliable performance. The material resists the vibrations, impacts, and thermal cycling that RC vehicles experience during intense racing sessions or casual bashing. For anyone maintaining their RC 4x4 UK models properly, having spare drivetrain nuts ensures you can quickly swap out worn components and keep your vehicle track-ready or trail-ready without extended downtime.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a slipper clutch nut and why do I need replacement spares? — The slipper clutch nut is a small but critical fastener that secures your vehicle's slipper clutch assembly in the transmission. During hard acceleration or impact, the slipper clutch engages to protect your motor and gears from damage. Over time and through thousands of operating cycles, these nuts can become loose, worn, or damaged. Having replacement spares ensures you can maintain your RC car's drivetrain integrity and prevent transmission damage that could be far more expensive to repair.
  • Will these composite nuts fit my ARRMA 4x4 vehicle? — Yes, these nuts are genuine ARRMA spare parts designed specifically for ARRMA 4x4 models. The precision manufacturing ensures consistent fit to all compatible ARRMA 4WD vehicles. However, we recommend checking your vehicle's manual or contacting our expert team to confirm which ARRMA 4x4 models use this component, as different models may have varying requirements.
  • Why choose composite material instead of metal? — ARRMA selected composite material for these nuts because it offers an excellent balance of properties: it provides durability and reliability under the extreme stresses of RC driving whilst remaining lightweight to avoid adding unnecessary weight to your transmission. Composite also resists vibration-induced loosening better than traditional metal fasteners and provides consistent performance across temperature variations.
  • How often should I replace my slipper clutch nuts? — There's no fixed replacement interval—it depends on how frequently and intensely you use your RC vehicle. Regular inspection during maintenance is recommended; if you notice the slipper clutch feeling loose, spinning excessively during hard acceleration, or if you've had a significant crash, it's sensible to replace these nuts as a precautionary measure to prevent more costly transmission damage.
  • Are these suitable for high-speed racing or just casual bashing? — These composite nuts are suitable for both casual RC car UK weekend bashing and competitive racing. The precision manufacturing and tough composite material mean they'll perform reliably whether you're running stock power or pushing your RC vehicle with upgraded motors and batteries.
