Overview

The ARRMA Shock Springs: 55mm 1.2N/mm (6.9lbf/in) (2) Z-ARA330712 are essential tuning components for any RC enthusiast looking to optimise their vehicle's suspension performance. Whether you're running a brushless RC short course truck, stadium truck, or any compatible ARRMA model, these precision-engineered shock springs allow you to fine-tune your vehicle's handling characteristics in seconds. These aren't just generic springs – they're designed specifically for ARRMA RC cars and trucks, ensuring perfect compatibility and reliable performance across a range of racing conditions and terrain types.

If you're serious about RC performance, understanding suspension setup is crucial. Shock springs directly influence how your vehicle handles bumps, corners, and acceleration. The ability to swap springs quickly means you can experiment with different spring rates to find the perfect balance between grip and stability for your specific driving style and track conditions. For UK RC car enthusiasts, having quality aftermarket suspension components like these gives you the competitive edge and customisation options that separate casual bashers from serious racers.

These ARRMA shock springs represent genuine OEM quality, manufactured to the exacting standards that ARRMA is recognised for. They're not a compromise option – they're the same springs that come standard on many ARRMA vehicles, meaning countless RC drivers already trust them for reliable, consistent performance.

Key Features

  • Precision Manufactured Spring Steel — These shock springs are manufactured from high-quality spring steel using precision engineering methods, ensuring consistent performance across multiple compression and extension cycles and long-lasting durability even under demanding racing conditions.
  • Rapid Suspension Tuning — By simply swapping out your existing springs for a different spring rate, you can transform your vehicle's handling characteristics in seconds without needing tools or extensive disassembly, allowing you to adapt to different track conditions and driving preferences quickly.
  • 55mm Length Specification — The 55mm length is engineered to fit perfectly within ARRMA suspension systems, providing optimal ride height and suspension geometry for the vehicles these springs are designed to support.
  • 1.2N/mm Spring Rate — With a spring rate of 1.2N/mm (equivalent to 6.9lbf/in), these springs offer a moderate stiffness that provides good all-round performance across various driving styles, terrain types, and weather conditions without being too soft or too stiff.
  • Pack of Two Springs — Each pack contains two shock springs, allowing you to replace both front or both rear shocks, or giving you spare springs to experiment with different setups and configurations across your suspension.

Technical Performance

The ARRMA Shock Springs deliver consistent, reliable suspension performance through their precision-engineered construction. The 55mm length combined with the 1.2N/mm spring rate creates a suspension setup that balances responsiveness with stability, making these springs suitable for a variety of ARRMA models including the 1/10 FURY 223S, 1/10 SENTON 223S, 1/10 VORTEKS 223S, and 1/10 VORTEKS BOOST ranges. The spring steel construction ensures that the springs maintain their performance characteristics over extended use, resisting permanent deformation and fatigue that can occur with lower-quality materials. This means your suspension will feel consistent lap after lap, race after race. The moderate spring rate of 1.2N/mm makes these springs particularly versatile – they're soft enough to absorb impacts and provide good traction over rough terrain, yet stiff enough to maintain vehicle control during aggressive cornering and rapid direction changes. For UK RC racers competing on indoor carpet tracks, outdoor tarmac tracks, or loose dirt surfaces, having quality suspension components is non-negotiable, and ARRMA's engineering ensures these springs meet professional standards.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What ARRMA models are these shock springs compatible with? — These 55mm 1.2N/mm shock springs are compatible with multiple ARRMA 1/10 scale vehicles including the ARRMA 1/10 FURY 223S DSC 2WD RTR Brushless Short Course Truck, ARRMA 1/10 SENTON 223S DSC 4X4 RTR Brushless Short Course Truck, ARRMA 1/10 VORTEKS 223S 4X4 RTR Brushless Stadium Truck, ARRMA 1/10 VORTEKS 3S 4X4 RTR Brushless Stadium Truck, and ARRMA 1/10 VORTEKS BOOST 2WD RTR Brushed Stadium Truck. They work as both standard and optional replacement parts depending on your specific model.
  • How do shock springs affect my RC car's handling? — Shock springs are fundamental to suspension tuning and directly influence how your RC vehicle handles various terrain and driving conditions. Softer springs (lower N/mm rating) provide more compliance over bumps and smoother ride characteristics but may allow excessive body roll in corners. Stiffer springs (higher N/mm rating) provide better body control and sharper cornering response but can make the vehicle harsher over rough ground. The 1.2N/mm rate on these springs offers a balanced middle ground suitable for most drivers and conditions.
  • Can I use different spring rates for front and rear? — Yes, many experienced RC drivers use different spring rates at the front and rear to fine-tune their vehicle's balance. By experimenting with combinations of softer and stiffer springs, you can dial in exactly how your vehicle responds to acceleration, braking, and cornering. This level of customisation is one of the key advantages of aftermarket suspension components.
  • Why would I need replacement shock springs? — Shock springs can wear over time, particularly if they're frequently exposed to impacts or aggressive use. Additionally, if you want to experiment with different suspension setups – perhaps your current springs are too soft for racing but too stiff for bashing – having spare springs allows you to quickly adapt. Springs can also be damaged by impacts or become permanently deformed through extended use, requiring replacement.
  • Are these genuine ARRMA parts? — Yes, these are genuine OEM ARRMA shock springs manufactured to the same specifications and quality standards as those fitted to ARRMA vehicles from the factory, ensuring perfect compatibility and performance.
