Overview
The SPM 9g servo MG Reversed P-SPMSA332R is a professional-grade sub-micro servo from Spektrum, one of the world's most trusted names in RC radio systems and components. This compact 9g servo is engineered for small-scale RC aircraft, helicopters, and other precision RC models that demand reliable, responsive control in a lightweight package. With its metal gear construction and reversed control configuration, this servo delivers the durability and performance characteristics expected from Spektrum's engineering excellence. Whether you're building a ready to run RC plane, upgrading an existing aircraft, or setting up a competition-grade model, the A332R offers the precision control you need in an ultra-compact form factor.
The reversed configuration of this servo makes it ideal for applications where standard servo rotation would not suit your RC model's mechanical setup. This feature is particularly valuable for RC aircraft builders and hobbyists in the UK who need flexible servo options without compromise on performance. The 9g weight makes this an excellent choice for weight-conscious RC applications where every gram counts towards achieving optimal flight characteristics and battery endurance.
Spektrum servos are recognised globally for their consistency, reliability and value for money. The A332R continues this tradition, offering RC enthusiasts a dependable component that will perform reliably across countless flying hours. This servo is perfect for intermediate to advanced RC pilots looking for quality components that will enhance their RC experience without excessive cost.
Key Features
- Metal Gear Construction — The use of metal gears in this sub-micro servo ensures superior durability and load-bearing capacity compared to plastic alternatives, meaning your servo will maintain precision control even under demanding flight conditions and repeated use cycles.
- Reversed Control Configuration — This servo features reversed rotation, which is essential for specific RC model configurations where standard servo direction would create control conflicts or mechanical interference with your aircraft design.
- Sub-Micro Size Class — At just 9 grams, this servo is engineered for ultra-lightweight RC applications, making it ideal for small aircraft, park flyers, and models where weight reduction directly improves flight performance and battery efficiency.
- Spektrum Brand Heritage — As part of Spektrum's extensive servo lineup, this component benefits from decades of RC engineering expertise and a reputation for reliability that RC pilots across the UK trust implicitly.
- Professional Precision — The A332R delivers the servo response and linearity expected in competition-grade RC equipment, ensuring smooth, predictable control inputs that translate directly to superior flight performance.
Technical Performance
The SPM 9g servo MG Reversed is engineered to deliver professional-level performance in a sub-micro package. The metal gear design provides excellent durability and load handling, whilst the compact 9-gram weight makes it ideally suited for weight-sensitive RC aircraft applications where minimising mass is critical to achieving optimal flight characteristics. The reversed control configuration means this servo will rotate in the opposite direction to standard models, making it essential for specific RC aircraft layouts and control systems. The servo's engineering reflects Spektrum's commitment to precision servo technology, ensuring smooth operation, consistent response times, and reliable performance across extended flying sessions. This servo integrates seamlessly with Spektrum RC radio systems and is compatible with standard servo connectors found on most RC receivers and flight controllers. The combination of metal gears, compact dimensions, and Spektrum's quality manufacturing makes this an excellent choice for RC enthusiasts in the UK who demand reliable components that won't let them down in the air.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is a reversed servo and why would I need one? — A reversed servo rotates in the opposite direction to a standard servo. This feature is essential when your RC aircraft's mechanical layout requires a servo that pushes when others would pull, or when your control linkages would create binding or interference with a standard servo orientation. The A332R's reversed configuration eliminates the need for external servo reversal electronics, saving weight and complexity in your RC setup.
- Is the SPM 9g servo suitable for my RC aircraft? — This servo is specifically engineered for sub-micro RC aircraft applications, including park flyers, small electric planes, and ultra-lightweight RC models. If your aircraft manual or build guide specifies a 9-gram sub-micro servo, the A332R is an excellent choice. However, always verify compatibility with your specific RC model before purchasing.
- What is the difference between metal gear and plastic gear servos? — Metal gear servos, like the A332R, offer superior durability and load-bearing capacity compared to plastic gear alternatives. Metal gears resist wear, maintain precision over longer service life, and handle higher loads without stripping. For serious RC pilots in the UK investing in quality equipment, metal gear construction provides better value over time and more reliable performance during critical flight moments.
- Will this servo work with my Spektrum radio system? — Yes, the A332R is part of Spektrum's comprehensive servo ecosystem and features a standard servo connector compatible with all Spektrum RC receivers and flight controllers. It integrates seamlessly with Spektrum DSMX, DSM2, and other Spektrum radio protocols, making it an ideal choice for building or upgrading Spektrum-based RC aircraft systems.
- How does the 9-gram weight benefit my RC model? — In RC aircraft design, servo weight directly impacts overall aircraft weight, which affects battery life, flight performance, and handling characteristics. The 9-gram specification of the A332R allows you to minimise your aircraft's total mass, resulting in longer flight times, improved responsiveness, and better overall flight efficiency compared to heavier servo options.
