Overview
The Logic RC JR Y Lead (Silicone) 150mm is an essential connectivity solution for RC enthusiasts working with JR and Spektrum compatible radio systems. This compact Y-lead is designed to split a single receiver channel into two servo outputs, making it invaluable for applications requiring dual servo control from one channel. Whether you're setting up a sophisticated RC car UK setup, fine-tuning an aircraft build, or optimising your ready to run RC model, this lead provides the reliability and flexibility you need. The 150mm length makes it perfectly suited for tight spaces and compact installations where longer leads would be unwieldy or create cable management challenges.
Built by Logic RC, a trusted name in RC connectivity solutions, this Y-lead combines practical engineering with quality construction. The silicone wiring offers superior flexibility compared to standard PVC alternatives, allowing easier routing through confined spaces and reducing stress on connections during installation and operation. For anyone serious about their RC hobby in the UK, having quality interconnect leads like this on hand ensures you can tackle any wiring challenge your project demands.
The JR Y Lead works with all standard JR and Spektrum type plugs, making it universally compatible across the vast majority of modern RC systems. This flexibility means you can use it across different models and platforms without worrying about proprietary connectors or incompatibilities. It's the sort of small but crucial component that every RC enthusiast should have in their workshop.
Key Features
- 150mm Compact Length — The precisely engineered 150mm length is ideal for installations where space is at a premium, such as packed avionics bays, integrated servo placements, or compact receiver arrangements, without being so short that routing becomes problematic.
- Silicone Wire Construction — Unlike standard PVC insulation, silicone wiring provides exceptional flexibility, heat resistance, and durability, making it far easier to route through tight spaces and ensuring the lead won't crack or become brittle over time with repeated flexing or temperature changes.
- JR and Spektrum Compatible — This lead works seamlessly with all JR and Spektrum type connectors, ensuring universal compatibility across the broadest range of RC systems available to UK hobbyists, from budget-friendly ready to run models to advanced competition equipment.
- Gold Plated Connections — The connectors feature gold plating that resists corrosion and oxidation, maintaining clean electrical contact even in humid conditions or after extended storage, which is critical for reliable servo response and system stability.
- High Quality Mouldings — Precision-moulded connector housings provide secure seating on your plugs and reduce the risk of accidental disconnection during flight or operation, giving you confidence in your RC equipment's reliability.
Technical Performance
The Logic RC JR Y Lead (Silicone) 150mm represents the engineering standards you'd expect from a professional-grade RC components manufacturer. The silicone wire construction is a step above consumer-grade PVC alternatives, offering superior performance in temperature extremes and repeated flexing cycles. The wire gauge and insulation thickness are optimised for servo-level current delivery, ensuring no voltage drop or signal degradation even under demanding conditions. Gold-plated connectors meet the exacting standards of JR and Spektrum systems, providing the low-resistance connections essential for responsive servo control. The moulded housings are engineered for precision fit and durability, preventing the connector wear that can lead to intermittent contact issues. This lead is manufactured to specifications that meet both hobby-grade and professional RC applications, making it suitable for everything from casual weekend basher RC models to competition-grade setups where reliability cannot be compromised. The 150mm length strikes the optimal balance between compact routing in tight spaces and sufficient length to avoid excessive bending stress on the connectors themselves.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is a Y-lead used for in RC models? — A Y-lead allows you to connect two servo outputs from a single receiver channel, which is essential when you need to control two servos that must move together in perfect synchronisation. Common applications include differential steering in RC cars (where both sides of the steering linkage must move equally), dual elevator servos in aircraft, or paired control surfaces that require matched movement.
- Will this JR Y-lead work with my Spektrum radio system? — Yes, absolutely. The JR and Spektrum connectors are electrically and mechanically compatible, so this lead works seamlessly with any Spektrum-based system as well as genuine JR equipment. This universal compatibility is one of the great strengths of the JR connector standard.
- Why choose silicone wiring over standard PVC? — Silicone wiring offers multiple advantages: it flexes more easily without cracking, maintains flexibility across a wider temperature range, resists UV damage better, and simply feels more professional. For RC enthusiasts who want their equipment to last and perform reliably, silicone is the superior choice despite the slightly higher cost.
- Is 150mm long enough for my installation? — The 150mm length is ideal for compact installations and tight spaces. If you need a longer lead, Logic RC also offers Y-leads in 300mm length. If you need something shorter, extension leads and custom wiring solutions are available, but for most standard receiver-to-servo installations, 150mm provides the perfect balance between space-saving compactness and practical routing flexibility.
- How do I install a Y-lead in my RC model? — Installation is straightforward: simply plug the single male connector into your receiver's channel output, then plug your two servos into the two female connectors at the split end. The servos will now move in perfect synchronisation, receiving identical control signals from the receiver. The silicone wire is flexible enough to route neatly even through narrow spaces.
- What quality standards does this lead meet? — While specific certification information isn't detailed in our sources, Logic RC components are designed and manufactured to standards consistent with professional RC applications. The gold-plated connectors and precision mouldings indicate quality engineering suitable for both hobby and competitive use.
