Overview
The Dynamite 1/2 Machined Aluminium Servo Arm in vibrant red is a premium quality servo horn designed specifically for Futaba servo fitment. This precision-engineered component represents an excellent choice for RC enthusiasts across the UK who demand reliable, high-performance steering and throttle control in their RC cars, buggies, crawlers and off-road vehicles. Whether you're running a competitive RC buggy, a weekend basher, or a dedicated crawler build, this machined aluminium servo arm delivers the rigidity and precision control that serious hobbyists expect.
Built from machined aluminium rather than plastic or nylon, this servo arm eliminates the flex and deflection that often compromises control response in lower-quality alternatives. The single-arm configuration provides a clean, straightforward linkage solution for steering applications, whilst the drilled and tapped design accommodates a wide range of throttle and brake linkage requirements. For RC car UK builders and competitive racers, choosing quality servo arms like this Dynamite unit makes a tangible difference to vehicle responsiveness and handling characteristics.
The red colour finish not only looks striking on any RC build, but also helps with quick visual identification of servo positions during setup and adjustments. At just £8.54, this machined aluminium servo arm offers exceptional value for money compared to premium alternatives from brands like Hudy and Associated, making it an ideal upgrade for anyone looking to improve their RC setup without breaking the bank.
Key Features
- Machined Aluminium Construction — Unlike plastic or nylon servo arms, this component is precision machined from solid aluminium, providing superior rigidity and eliminating the flex that reduces steering response and throttle precision. Aluminium servo arms maintain their geometry under load, ensuring consistent control regardless of driving conditions or steering forces.
- Futaba Servo Fitment — This servo arm is specifically designed to fit Futaba servo splines, making it compatible with a huge range of modern Futaba servos commonly found in RC cars, buggies and crawlers throughout the UK RC hobby. The 25T spline count suits most Futaba and Savox servo models, covering the majority of contemporary RC builds.
- Drilled and Tapped for 3mm Hardware — The arm features strategically placed holes that are drilled and tapped to accept standard 3mm linkage hardware, allowing you to create precise, secure connections to your throttle, brake and steering linkages. This design means you can use quality ball-link hardware and turnbuckles for adjustable geometry tuning.
- Single-Arm Configuration — The single-arm design offers a simple, lightweight solution perfect for steering applications where you need a direct connection from servo to steering bellcrank. This configuration reduces overall weight compared to double-arm horns and provides excellent clearance around tightly packed chassis layouts.
- Blank Holes for Flexible Linkage Options — Beyond the drilled and tapped holes, the arm includes blank holes ready to house a wide range of throttle and brake linkage requirements, giving you maximum flexibility when designing your RC car's control geometry.
- Vibrant Red Colour Finish — The striking red anodised finish provides excellent visual contrast on your RC model, making it easy to see servo position at a glance and adding aesthetic appeal to your build.
- Precision Engineering — Every Dynamite servo arm is manufactured to tight tolerances, ensuring perfect fitment on your Futaba servo and reliable performance across countless hours of driving.
Technical Performance
This machined aluminium servo arm represents a significant step up from plastic alternatives in terms of performance and durability. The aluminium construction provides exceptional rigidity that directly translates to improved steering response and throttle control precision in your RC car. Where plastic servo arms flex under lateral forces during aggressive steering inputs or hard acceleration, this machined unit maintains its geometry, ensuring your servo input translates faithfully to steering and throttle adjustments without delay or deflection. The drilled and tapped 3mm holes mean you're not limited to friction-fit connections; instead, you can create rock-solid linkages using proper ball-link hardware, giving you a level of mechanical precision that makes a real difference during racing or competitive crawling. The engineering quality rivals components costing three times the price, making this one of the best value servo arm upgrades available for RC enthusiasts building or upgrading their machines. Whether you're tuning steering geometry on a 1/10 scale buggy for track racing, setting up a rock crawler for technical terrain, or building a general-purpose RC car for UK weekend bashing, this Dynamite servo arm will serve you reliably for years.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is this Dynamite servo arm compatible with my Futaba servo? — Yes, this arm is specifically designed for Futaba servo fitment with a 25T spline count, which suits the vast majority of modern Futaba servos used in RC cars, buggies and crawlers throughout the UK. Before purchasing, check your servo's spline specification to confirm compatibility, as some older or specialist servos may use different spline counts (23T for JR/Spektrum, 24T for Hitec).
- How does this compare to plastic servo arms? — The key difference is rigidity. Machined aluminium servo arms do not flex under load like plastic alternatives, meaning your steering inputs remain precise and responsive throughout your driving session. Plastic arms gradually deflect during aggressive steering, resulting in softer, less direct handling. For RC cars where steering feel and responsiveness matter, aluminium is a worthwhile upgrade.
- What hardware do I need to connect this servo arm to my steering linkage? — The arm is drilled and tapped for 3mm linkage hardware, so you'll need standard 3mm ball-links, turnbuckles and associated servo horn hardware to complete your linkage setup. Most RC shops stock these components alongside servo arms, and they're relatively inexpensive.
- Can this single-arm servo horn be used for throttle and brake control? — Yes, the full arm design includes blank holes ready to house throttle and brake linkage requirements alongside the primary steering application. This versatility makes it suitable for various control applications in your RC setup.
- Is the Dynamite brand reliable for servo components? — Dynamite is an established manufacturer of quality RC hobby products, and their servo arms are recognised for excellent value and consistent performance. At the competitive price point, you're getting genuine quality that compares well with more expensive alternatives from premium brands.
- What size is this servo arm, and will it fit my RC car? — The 1/2 size designation refers to the arm length and is a standard specification that fits most 1/10 scale RC buggies, cars and crawlers commonly used in the UK RC hobby. Confirm your servo specifications before purchasing, as different applications and servo brands may use arms of different lengths.
- How durable is aluminium servo arm compared to other materials? — Machined aluminium is extremely durable for servo arm applications. It won't crack like plastic under impacts, and it resists the creep and deformation that plastic suffers under sustained load. Aluminium servo arms typically outlast several plastic replacements, representing better long-term value.
