Key Features
- Precision Machined Aluminium Construction — Every servo arm is machined from high-quality aluminium stock to exacting tolerances, ensuring perfect fit and zero flex when transferring servo motion to your control linkages. This level of precision dramatically improves steering response and throttle accuracy compared to injection-moulded plastic alternatives.
- Maximum Rigidity and Steering Control — The rigid aluminium design eliminates the spring-back and flex associated with nylon and plastic servo arms, delivering crisp, immediate steering response that allows you to fine-tune your RC car's handling with precision. This is especially valuable when racing or performing technical manoeuvres that demand exact control.
- Instantaneous Throttle and Brake Response — By removing flex from the servo-to-linkage connection, this machined arm ensures that throttle and brake inputs are translated immediately and accurately to your RC vehicle's drivetrain, giving you better control over acceleration, deceleration, and speed modulation.
- Futaba Servo Compatibility — This servo arm features a 25-tooth spline profile that fits Futaba and Savox servos, two of the most popular servo brands used in RC cars and crawlers across the UK. Verify your servo's spline count before purchase — 25T is standard for most modern Futaba and Savox units.
- 1/2 Arm Length Design — The 1/2 arm length offers an excellent compromise between control throw and output torque, making it a versatile choice for steering, throttle, and brake control across a wide range of RC applications from small touring cars to large-scale crawlers.
- Single-Arm Configuration — This single servo arm design allows maximum clearance around your chassis and linkage geometry, making it ideal for tight builds and allowing you to optimise your suspension geometry without servo arm interference.
- Drilled and Tapped for 3mm Hardware — The servo arm arrives ready to use with pre-drilled holes and tapped threads for standard 3mm linkage hardware including ball studs, threaded rods, and turnbuckles. This compatibility with off-the-shelf RC linkage components makes installation quick and straightforward.
- Attractive Blue Finish — Available in this eye-catching blue colour, the servo arm adds visual appeal to your RC model while helping you identify it quickly in your spare parts collection. Dynamite also offers this arm in black and red for colour-matching to different builds.
- Sold One Per Package — Each purchase includes a single servo arm, so you can buy exactly the quantity you need for your project without paying for unnecessary multiples, or stock up with multiple purchases for various RC models.
Technical Performance
The Dynamite Machined Aluminium Servo Arm represents a significant engineering upgrade over standard plastic servo horns. Precision machining from solid aluminium stock ensures dimensional accuracy measured in fractions of a millimetre, eliminating the manufacturing tolerance variations common in injection-moulded plastic arms. The rigid aluminium material transmits servo motion with zero flex or deflection, meaning the servo's output torque translates directly to your control surfaces without energy loss or delayed response. This is critically important in RC applications where steering precision, throttle response, and brake modulation directly affect lap times, handling consistency, and overall vehicle control. The 1/2 arm length provides adequate throw for fine steering adjustments whilst maintaining sufficient mechanical advantage to control even responsive servos without over-extension. The 25-tooth Futaba spline is precision-cut to engage perfectly with modern Futaba and Savox servo shafts, providing a secure mechanical connection that resists wear even with frequent servo centering and movement. Pre-drilled and tapped 3mm holes accommodate standard RC linkage hardware including threaded ball studs, turnbuckles, and bellcrank arms, making integration into any RC car UK setup straightforward. The blue anodised finish provides corrosion resistance suitable for outdoor use and weekend bashing, protecting the aluminium from oxidation and maintaining appearance over extended use in variable UK weather conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Will this servo arm fit my Futaba servo? — Yes, this servo arm is specifically designed for Futaba and Savox servos with a 25-tooth spline. Before purchasing, confirm your servo's spline count in your servo manual or specifications — most modern Futaba servos use 25T, but some smaller or older models may use different spline counts. Do not assume compatibility without checking your servo's specification.
- What is the advantage of a machined aluminium servo arm over plastic? — Machined aluminium servo arms eliminate the flex and play inherent in plastic designs. Plastic arms absorb some of the servo's output energy and can develop slop over time as the material fatigues. Aluminium arms transmit 100% of the servo's torque directly to your control linkage without energy loss, resulting in crisper steering response, better throttle modulation, and improved overall vehicle control. This difference is especially noticeable on high-speed RC cars and in competitive racing where consistency is critical.
- Will this servo arm improve my RC car's handling? — Yes, upgrading from a plastic to a machined aluminium servo arm will noticeably improve your RC car's steering response and consistency. The rigid arm eliminates the spring-back and play in plastic designs, allowing you to dial in precise steering geometry and feel immediate feedback from your control inputs. This is particularly valuable when tuning suspension geometry or practicing precision manoeuvres.
- What is a 1/2 arm length, and is it right for my RC setup? — Arm length refers to the distance from the servo shaft to the linkage connection point. A 1/2 arm length is a medium-sized arm that provides a good balance between steering throw and mechanical advantage. Longer arms increase control range but reduce servo torque output; shorter arms concentrate torque but limit throw. The 1/2 length is suitable for most RC cars, crawlers, and buggies. If you need maximum steering throw, you may prefer a longer arm; if you need maximum torque (such as for heavy-duty steering), you might prefer a shorter arm.
- Is this servo arm compatible with my RC crawler or rock crawler? — If your crawler uses a Futaba or Savox servo with a 25-tooth spline, this servo arm is fully compatible. Rock crawlers and scale crawlers often benefit from rigid aluminium servo arms because the precision control helps with precise wheel placement and articulation control on technical terrain. Verify your servo's spline count before purchasing.
- Can I use this servo arm for throttle and brake control? — Yes, this servo arm is suitable for throttle control linkages as well as steering. The rigid aluminium design provides instantaneous throttle response and prevents the delay and inconsistency that can occur with plastic arms, improving your ability to modulate power delivery smoothly and precisely.
- How does the 25-tooth spline work, and why does it matter? — The spline is the toothed shaft on your servo that the servo arm grips onto. A 25-tooth spline is the standard for most Futaba and Savox servos and is precisely cut to prevent slipping and ensure positive engagement. Using the correct spline count is essential — mismatched splines will either not fit or may slip under load, compromising your control reliability.
- Is the servo arm pre-assembled or does it require assembly? — The servo arm arrives as a complete unit, ready to mount directly onto your servo. You will need to supply your own 3mm linkage hardware such as ball studs, turnbuckles, or threaded rods to complete your control linkages, but the arm itself requires no assembly.
- What colours are available for this servo arm? — Dynamite offers this 1/2 machined aluminium servo arm in four colours: blue, black, red, and additional colour options depending on stock. The blue finish is shown here; all colours are finished to the same precision standards and offer identical performance.
- Why choose Dynamite servo arms over other brands? — Dynamite is recognised throughout the RC hobby as a manufacturer of reliable, high-quality components. Dynamite servo arms are precision-machined to exacting tolerances, offer excellent value for money, and are backed by a strong reputation in the competitive RC community. Choosing a Dynamite servo arm means choosing proven quality that RC enthusiasts trust.
