Whether you're into RC cars, aircraft, helicopters, or boats, having the correct charge leads for your equipment is crucial for safe and efficient battery charging. This particular lead is engineered to work seamlessly with Spektrum and JR branded receivers, which are among the most popular radio systems used in the UK RC hobby community.

Charge leads might seem like simple accessories, but they play a vital role in your RC setup. Without the correct adapter, you cannot charge your receiver batteries safely or effectively, which means your RC models could be grounded. The LOGIC brand is trusted throughout the UK RC community for producing reliable, durable charging accessories that meet the exacting standards of competitive and recreational RC enthusiasts alike. This specific lead is manufactured to precise tolerances to ensure a secure, reliable connection every single time you charge your receiver battery, whether you're preparing for a weekend bash with your brushless RC buggy or getting ready for a competitive race day.

For anyone operating Spektrum or JR receiver systems on their RC cars, drones, aircraft, or other RC models, this charge lead represents a practical investment in your hobby. It's compact, portable, and built to last through countless charge cycles. The 4mm connector on one end is the industry standard for most quality battery chargers sold throughout the UK, making this an exceptionally versatile lead that will work with virtually any modern charger in your workshop.

Technical Performance

The LOGIC Charge Lead: 4mm~Spek/JR Rx represents the culmination of years of experience in manufacturing reliable RC charging accessories. The lead features professional-grade construction with properly insulated wiring that meets safety standards throughout the UK and Europe. The 4mm connector is the industry-standard connector found on the vast majority of quality battery chargers sold in the UK RC hobby market, from budget chargers through to competition-grade equipment costing hundreds of pounds. The JR/Spektrum receiver connector end is manufactured to exact specifications matching original OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) connectors, ensuring compatibility with all genuine Spektrum and JR receiver batteries without any risk of force-fitting or damage. The wiring inside the lead is of sufficient gauge to handle the charging currents typical of small receiver batteries, typically ranging from 500mAh to 2000mAh in capacity. Whether you're charging a small 1S LiPo receiver battery at 1-amp charging rate or a slightly larger 2S pack at 2 amps, this lead delivers reliable current transmission with minimal voltage drop. The connectors themselves are securely soldered and reinforced to withstand repeated insertion and removal cycles, meaning your investment in this charge lead will serve you well through many seasons of RC hobby enjoyment.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a charge lead and why do I need one? — A charge lead is a simple adapter cable that connects your battery charger to your specific battery connector type. You need one because chargers typically have a standard 4mm connector, whilst different RC equipment manufacturers use different receiver battery connectors (Spektrum/JR, Futaba, Graupner, etc). Without the correct charge lead, you cannot charge your receiver battery safely or at all. This LOGIC lead specifically adapts from the standard 4mm charger connector to the Spektrum/JR receiver connector format.
  • Is this compatible with all Spektrum and JR receivers? — Yes, this charge lead works with all Spektrum and JR branded receiver batteries that use the standard Spektrum/JR connector. If you have a Spektrum SR3000 receiver, a JR R8000 receiver, or any other mainstream Spektrum or JR receiver, this lead will work perfectly with the battery that powers that receiver.
  • What chargers will work with this lead? — Any charger with a standard 4mm connector output will work with this lead. This includes budget chargers from brands like Tenergy, professional chargers from Spektrum and Dynamite, and virtually every other quality RC battery charger sold in UK RC model shops. The 4mm connector is the universal standard throughout the RC hobby worldwide.
  • Can I use this lead with different battery types? — This lead is specifically designed for receiver batteries using Spektrum/JR connectors. Receiver batteries are typically small LiPo packs (1S or 2S), though they can also be NiMH or Li-Ion in older equipment. The lead itself is connector-agnostic and works with any battery voltage, but you must use appropriate charge settings on your charger for your specific battery chemistry and cell count.
  • Is this suitable for beginners? — Absolutely. This is one of the simplest and most essential accessories for anyone using a Spektrum or JR radio system. If you have a Spektrum DX7, DX8, DX9, or any JR transmitter with a Spektrum/JR receiver, you need this charge lead. It's a straightforward connection with no technical knowledge required—simply plug the 4mm end into your charger and the Spektrum/JR end into your receiver battery.
  • How long will this charge lead last? — With proper care, a LOGIC charge lead will last for many years and through hundreds of charge cycles. The durable construction and quality soldering mean these leads are designed as long-term investments rather than disposable items. Many RC enthusiasts use the same charge leads for 5+ years without any issues.
  • What makes LOGIC charge leads different from cheaper alternatives? — LOGIC charge leads use proper gauge wiring, quality solder joints, and precision-engineered connectors that ensure reliable connections every single time. Cheaper alternatives sometimes use undersized wiring or poor soldering that can result in voltage drop, slow charging, or even dangerous overheating during the charging process. When dealing with lithium batteries, having reliable charging equipment is a matter of both performance and safety.
