Overview
The FTX Body Post (2) - Carnage FTX6325 is an essential replacement spare part designed for FTX RC truck and buggy enthusiasts across the UK. These body posts are critical chassis components that mount your RC vehicle's body shell to the frame, and they are among the most frequently replaced parts on any serious RC car. Whether you're running the FTX Carnage 2.0, the high-performance Carnage NT nitro truck, or the ultra-4 inspired Outlaw buggy, having spare body posts on hand is absolutely essential for uninterrupted bashing and racing sessions.
Body posts take the full impact load when your RC truck or buggy lands from jumps, flips over, or crashes during aggressive driving. The FTX design provides reliable performance in standard form, but many experienced RC hobbyists in the UK find that having multiple sets of replacement posts is a smart investment. At just £2.29 per pair, these posts offer outstanding value for money, making them one of the most cost-effective spares you can buy for your FTX Carnage, Outlaw or Zorro models. Whether you're a weekend basher enjoying off-road trails or a more competitive RC driver pushing your vehicle to its limits, replacement body posts should always be in your spares box.
FTX is a recognised manufacturer of quality RC vehicles and components, and these body posts are engineered to deliver consistent performance across all compatible models. The two-piece set means you get both posts needed for a complete body mounting repair, and the affordable price point makes it practical to buy multiple sets at once to keep your RC vehicles running without downtime.
Key Features
- Pack of Two Posts — Each set includes two body posts, which is the complete mounting requirement for your RC vehicle's body shell, eliminating the need to purchase components separately.
- Compatible with Multiple FTX Models — These posts work across the entire FTX Carnage family including the Carnage 2.0 brushed and brushless versions, the Carnage NT nitro truck, and the Outlaw ultra-4 buggies, giving you multi-model compatibility and excellent value.
- Affordable Replacement Solution — At just £2.29 per pair, these posts are inexpensive enough to buy in bulk, meaning you can keep several sets in your spares box without significant cost, and you'll never be left unable to run your RC truck.
- Easy Installation — Body posts are straightforward to install and remove, requiring minimal tools and no technical expertise, making them perfect for quick field repairs during RC sessions.
- OEM Quality Component — Manufactured by FTX to the same standards as the original equipment on their RTR ready-to-run vehicles, ensuring reliable fit and performance.
Technical Performance
The FTX Body Post (2) - Carnage FTX6325 represents a fundamental chassis component in RC vehicle design. Body posts are vertical mounting pillars that hold the body shell away from the chassis frame, typically secured with body clips or pins at the top and bolted to the chassis at the bottom. The engineering of these posts involves careful consideration of rigidity versus impact absorption — they need to be stiff enough to keep the body properly positioned and prevent unwanted movement, yet they must be designed to flex slightly under extreme impact to protect more expensive components mounted beneath them. FTX engineers the Carnage and Outlaw posts to fail gracefully in crash scenarios, meaning the post may bend or snap at high-impact zones, protecting the shock towers, chassis mounts, and servo mechanisms that would be far more expensive to replace. This is a deliberate design philosophy that has proven effective across countless RC enthusiast setups throughout the UK. The material composition and thickness are matched perfectly to the suspension geometry and overall weight distribution of the FTX Carnage 2.0 monster truck and Outlaw ultra-4 buggy platforms. Customer feedback from experienced RC bashers consistently notes that whilst these standard posts may snap relatively easily during aggressive driving or significant crashes, this is actually advantageous because replacing a £2.29 pair of posts is infinitely preferable to repairing a bent servo saver, damaged shock tower, or cracked chassis rail. Many UK RC enthusiasts adopt a strategy of keeping four or five sets of replacement posts in their tool box specifically to avoid downtime during RC sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Will these FTX body posts fit my Carnage or Outlaw? — Yes, these FTX6325 posts are specifically engineered for the FTX Carnage 2.0 (both brushed and brushless versions), the Carnage NT nitro variant, and both brushed and brushless versions of the Outlaw ultra-4 buggy. They also fit the FTX Zorro trophy truck. Check your vehicle's model number against the compatibility list to confirm.
- How often will I need to replace these body posts? — This depends entirely on your driving style and terrain. Casual weekend bashers might replace them every few months, whilst aggressive drivers and competitive racers may go through multiple sets per month. Many experienced RC hobbyists across the UK recommend buying in bulk — purchasing four or more sets at once — so you always have spares ready.
- What's the difference between standard posts and upgraded aluminium posts? — Standard plastic body posts like these FTX6325 components are designed to snap or bend under severe impact, protecting more expensive parts underneath. Upgraded aluminium posts offer greater durability and stiffness, but some users report they can transfer impact energy to the shock towers and chassis, potentially causing damage there instead. The standard posts represent a cost-effective sacrificial component strategy.
- Can I upgrade to carbon shock towers instead? — Yes, carbon shock tower and aluminium post upgrade kits are available as aftermarket options, typically costing around £15. These provide superior durability compared to standard plastic posts, though they add weight and cost. Some experienced bashers note that even carbon towers can break under extreme impacts, making the standard posts a practical choice.
- Are these posts waterproof? — Body posts are passive mechanical components with no electronics, so water resistance is not a concern. They perform equally well in wet or dry conditions.
- Do I need tools to install these posts? — Installation is very straightforward and requires only basic tools you'll already have in your RC toolkit. Posts typically bolt to the chassis with small hex screws and clip to the body with body clips or pins.
