This component is particularly relevant for drivers who regularly engage in high-speed runs, competitive racing, or aggressive bashing. The vibration reduction it provides helps maintain precision in drivetrain engagement, which translates to more consistent acceleration, smoother power delivery, and reduced stress on related transmission components. ARRMA has engineered this support to fit perfectly with the transmission design of their 1/10-scale and 1/8-scale models, ensuring that installation and fitment are guaranteed from day one.

Key Features

  • Reduces Centre Driveshaft Vibration — The primary function of this support is to eliminate the vibration that occurs at high transmission RPM, which is particularly noticeable when running brushless motors at their peak performance levels. By stabilising the shaft, you reduce oscillation that can damage bearings and seals over time, extending the life of your transmission significantly.
  • Precisely Moulded Design — The centre driveshaft support is carefully engineered with precise moulding that ensures accurate location and alignment with your vehicle's chassis. This level of precision means the support sits perfectly in its mounting position without any play or movement, providing reliable vibration damping from the moment of installation.
  • Chassis-Mounted Retention System — The support is retained directly onto the chassis using an included M2.5 x 8mm cap head screw, providing a secure and permanent mounting solution. This screw-based fastening method ensures the support cannot shift during driving, maintaining consistent performance whether you are on tarmac, loose terrain, or bashing over rough ground.
  • High-Quality Ball Bearing Included — The kit includes a precision 15 x 21 x 4mm ball bearing that fits directly onto the centre shaft of your transmission. This bearing is engineered to high tolerances and clips securely into the support structure, providing smooth rotation whilst actively dampening vibration at high speeds. The ball bearing is the critical component that absorbs and distributes vibrational energy, protecting your transmission system.
  • O-Ring Retention System — A 12 x 2mm O-ring is included to retain the ball bearing on the centre shaft when you remove the shaft from the vehicle for maintenance or repairs. This prevents the bearing from falling loose or becoming damaged during disassembly, making servicing your transmission easier and safer. The O-ring is an essential component that speaks to the thoughtful engineering of this kit.
  • Universal ARRMA 4x4 Compatibility — This support is compatible with a wide range of ARRMA 1/10-scale and 1/8-scale 4x4 models including the Big Rock, Granite, Senton, Kraton, Outcast, Vorteks, Infraction, Typhon, and Vendetta across both brushless and brushed variants. This broad compatibility makes it a versatile upgrade for most ARRMA 4x4 enthusiasts.
  • Easy Installation Process — The support requires no special tools or modifications to your vehicle chassis. The provided cap head screw fastens directly to existing mounting points, making installation a job that takes minutes rather than hours. Even beginners can confidently install this component with basic RC maintenance knowledge.

Technical Performance

The Center Driveshaft High Speed Support operates on the principle of active vibration isolation. When your brushless motor pushes your RC 4x4 through high-RPM acceleration, the centre driveshaft naturally experiences oscillation as power is transmitted through the drivetrain. This vibration becomes increasingly problematic at higher speeds, particularly in vehicles running powerful 3S and 4S LiPo battery systems that drive brushless motors into the upper RPM ranges. The precision ball bearing (15 x 21 x 4mm) fitted within this support acts as a pivot point that allows the shaft to rotate smoothly whilst constraining lateral movement. The bearing itself is manufactured to high tolerances, ensuring smooth rotation with minimal friction—this is critical because any resistance in the bearing would translate to power loss and heat generation. The moulded plastic support housing is engineered specifically for ARRMA chassis geometry, meaning it integrates seamlessly with the existing transmission mounting points. The cap head screw fastening method ensures rock-solid attachment to the chassis, preventing any micro-movement that could compromise the vibration-damping effect. The included O-ring performs dual duty: it retains the bearing on the centre shaft during operation, preventing axial movement, and it makes disassembly easier for maintenance or bearing replacement down the line. This kit represents a complete, engineered solution to a common real-world problem in high-performance RC 4x4 vehicles.
