Overview
The ARRMA Ball Bearing 10x15x4mm 2RS (2) is an essential replacement bearing set for RC car enthusiasts across the UK. Whether you're running an ARRMA 1/10 brushless monster truck, a 1/8 scale buggy, or any of the numerous compatible models in the ARRMA range, these premium ball bearings are designed to restore your vehicle to peak performance. Bearings are wear items that require regular replacement, particularly if you frequently bash your RC car in challenging conditions. These high-quality rubber shielded ball bearings make ideal replacement parts for your ARRMA vehicle, offering the same precision engineering and durability you'd expect from an official ARRMA component.
If you're new to RC car maintenance in the UK or you're a seasoned competitor, understanding the importance of bearing maintenance is crucial. Ball bearings are responsible for allowing your RC car's wheels, drivetrain, and other rotating components to spin freely with minimal friction. As your ARRMA RC car ages or experiences heavy use, bearings will gradually wear, causing resistance, noise, and reduced performance. When this happens, replacement becomes necessary. The ARRMA Ball Bearing 10x15x4mm 2RS set includes two bearings, making this a convenient solution for common maintenance requirements on ARRMA vehicles.
These bearings are built to the same exacting standards as the vehicles they support, ensuring fast and easy installation with consistent servicing experiences. The 2RS designation indicates that these are rubber-shielded bearings, meaning they come with protective rubber seals on both sides. This design is particularly important for RC car enthusiasts in the UK who use their vehicles in wet conditions, muddy terrain, or dusty environments. The sealed design keeps dirt, water, and dust out whilst retaining essential lubrication inside, meaning more time bashing and less time wrenching when you're out with your ready to run RC car.
Key Features
- Premium Ball-Raced Design — These bearings feature precision ball-raced construction that delivers ultra-smooth operation in all conditions, whether you're racing on a track, bashing in a field, or exploring demanding terrain. The ball-race design ensures that your ARRMA RC car's rotating components can spin with minimal friction, resulting in faster acceleration, better handling, and improved overall performance.
- Precision Manufactured Construction — Each bearing is precision manufactured to exacting tolerances, ensuring fast and easy fit and consistent servicing across all your maintenance sessions. This precision manufacturing means you won't encounter fitting issues or inconsistencies that could compromise your RC car's performance, making installation straightforward whether you're a beginner or experienced hobbyist.
- Consistent Tolerance Standards — The bearings are manufactured to consistent tolerance specifications, which means safe and secure assembly into your ARRMA vehicle's various components. Consistent tolerances eliminate the frustration of poor fits or loose bearings that could cause vibration, noise, or premature failure during use.
- High-Quality Rubber Shields — Both sides of these bearings feature high-quality rubber shields that provide enhanced protection against the elements. Rather than leaving bearings exposed to environmental contamination, the rubber seals act as a barrier, particularly valuable when you're using your brushless RC truck or buggy in wet weather, muddy conditions, or dusty environments typical of UK bashing locations.
- Dirt, Water and Dust Protection — The sealed rubber shield design keeps dirt, water, and dust out of the bearing races whilst retaining the critical lubrication inside. This feature dramatically extends bearing life and reduces maintenance frequency, meaning you spend less time cleaning and re-lubricating your RC car and more time enjoying it.
- Pair Set Convenience — This package includes 2 ball bearings, making it ideal for replacing a matching pair or maintaining multiple bearing locations on your ARRMA RC vehicle. Having a matching pair ensures consistent performance across left and right sides of your vehicle.
Technical Performance
The ARRMA Ball Bearing 10x15x4mm 2RS set represents a crucial component in maintaining your RC car's performance capabilities. At 10mm internal diameter and 15mm external diameter with a 4mm thickness, these bearings are engineered to fit precisely into the bearing housings found across the ARRMA vehicle range. The specific dimensions make them compatible with numerous ARRMA models, from the popular 1/10 scale brushless monster trucks like the Granite 223S and Big Rock 223S to larger 1/8 scale models including the Typhon and Infraction series. The rubber shield design (2RS indicates rubber-sealed on both sides) is particularly important for UK RC enthusiasts who regularly use their vehicles in variable weather conditions. Unlike unsealed or partially shielded bearings that require frequent cleaning and re-lubrication after wet or muddy sessions, these sealed bearings maintain their performance with minimal maintenance intervention. The ball-raced construction minimises rotational friction, which translates directly to improved efficiency in your RC car's drivetrain and wheel rotation. For brushless RC vehicles that rely on precise, smooth spinning wheels for optimal handling and speed delivery, maintaining high-quality bearings is essential. The precision manufacturing standards ensure that each bearing provides consistent performance, eliminating the variability that can occur with lower-grade bearings and causing handling inconsistencies or vibration issues during high-speed runs or competitive racing.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Which ARRMA RC vehicles are compatible with the 10x15x4mm 2RS bearings? — These bearings are compatible with numerous ARRMA models including the 1/10 Big Rock 223S, Big Rock 3S, Granite 223S, Granite 3S, Granite 4X4 brushed models, Granite Boost 2WD, Granite Mega 665, Kraton 4S, Outcast 4S, Senton 223S, Senton 3S, Senton brushed models, Senton Boost 2WD, Vorteks 223S, Vorteks 3S, Vorteks Boost 2WD, and various 1/8 scale models including the Infraction 223S, Infraction 3S, Infraction brushed, Mojave 4S, Typhon 223S, Typhon 3S, Typhon brushed and mega variants, and Vendetta 3S. It's always wise to verify compatibility with your specific vehicle's manual or contact RC Model Shop for confirmation.
- How often should I replace the ball bearings in my RC car? — Bearing replacement frequency depends on how frequently you use your RC car and the conditions in which you operate it. Bearings that are regularly exposed to water, mud, and sand will wear faster than those used in cleaner environments. Signs that bearings need replacement include grinding noises, rough spinning action, reduced speed, or visible rust or corrosion. Regular inspection during routine maintenance helps identify when replacement becomes necessary.
- What does the 2RS designation mean on these bearings? — The 2RS designation indicates that these bearings feature rubber seals on both sides (2RS stands for two rubber shields). This design provides superior protection against environmental contaminants including dirt, water, and dust, whilst retaining the critical lubrication inside the bearing. This sealed design is particularly valuable for RC car enthusiasts in the UK who frequently bash in challenging conditions.
- How do I install these bearings into my ARRMA vehicle? — Installation typically involves removing the old bearings and pressing new ones into place using appropriate bearing pullers and presses. The precision manufacturing of these bearings ensures they fit properly into your vehicle's bearing housings. If you're unsure about the installation process, consult your vehicle's manual or seek guidance from experienced RC hobbyists. RC Model Shop's team of experienced RC enthusiasts is also available to provide advice.
- Are these genuine ARRMA bearings? — Yes, these are official ARRMA ball bearings manufactured to ARRMA's exacting standards. When you purchase from RC Model Shop, an authorised ARRMA retailer, you're guaranteed to receive genuine products with authentic quality and compatibility assurance.
- Can I use these bearings as preventative maintenance? — Absolutely. Many RC enthusiasts choose to replace bearings proactively before they fail, particularly before important races or when preparing for intensive bashing sessions. Preventative bearing replacement ensures peak performance and reduces the risk of bearing failure during use.
