Key Features
- 6S XH Connector Compatibility — This extension lead is specifically designed to work with 6-cell LiPo batteries featuring XH balance connectors, ensuring a secure and reliable connection every time you charge, with no compatibility issues or loose connections.
- 200mm Length — The 200mm cable length provides practical extension capability without creating excessive trailing wire that clutters your charging station or gets tangled in your RC charging bag, making it the ideal length for most benchtop and portable charging scenarios.
- Compact and Lightweight Design — Being a simple extension lead with minimal weight and bulk, it adds virtually nothing to your charging kit whilst providing significant convenience and flexibility when managing multiple 6S battery packs.

Technical Performance
The 6S XH Balance Extension Lead 200mm is engineered as a straightforward but essential charging accessory for the RC community. Its 200mm length is precisely calibrated to provide sufficient reach for typical charging scenarios—allowing you to connect a 6S XH balance port from your LiPo battery to a charger or balance board that may be positioned at an awkward angle or distance on your workbench. The XH connector standard ensures compatibility with the vast majority of modern 6S LiPo batteries used in contemporary RC cars, RC planes, and RC helis available in the UK market. The lead features proper gauge wiring designed to handle the current requirements of balance charging without voltage drop or safety concerns. Unlike longer extension leads that create cable management headaches, the 200mm specification represents the sweet spot for practical use—long enough to solve positioning problems, short enough to remain tidy and manageable. The construction utilises quality materials consistent with Fusion's reputation in the RC accessories sector, ensuring that connector contacts remain clean and reliable across hundreds of charging cycles. This is particularly important for serious RC enthusiasts who charge multiple battery packs regularly, whether for competitive racing, weekend bashing sessions, or regular maintenance of their RC model fleet.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is a 6S balance extension lead and why do I need one for my RC charging setup? — A balance extension lead is a cable that extends the reach between your battery's balance port and your charger's balance board port. This becomes essential when your charger or balance board is positioned far from where you're holding or securing your battery, or when you're charging multiple packs and need to route cables neatly. The 6S XH Balance Extension Lead 200mm specifically works with 6-cell LiPo batteries using the XH connector, making it compatible with most modern 6S LiPo batteries used in RC cars, planes, and helis across the UK.
- Is this extension lead suitable for all 6S LiPo batteries? — This extension lead is specifically designed for 6S LiPo batteries equipped with XH balance connectors. Before purchasing, verify that your battery's balance port uses an XH connector rather than other standards like JST EH or other proprietary connectors. If your battery has an XH balance connector, this 200mm extension lead will work perfectly.
- Can I use this extension lead with a Li-Po charging bag? — Yes, this is one of the primary use cases. Many RC enthusiasts use Li-Po charge bags for safety during the charging process, and the 200mm length of this extension lead makes it ideal for routing the balance connector outside or through the bag to your charger whilst the battery remains safely contained inside the fireproof bag.
- What is the difference between XH connectors and other balance connector types? — The XH connector is a specific standard used primarily on 6S and higher cell count LiPo batteries. Other standards include JST EH (commonly found on lower cell count batteries like 2S, 3S, and 4S packs) and various proprietary connectors used by specific manufacturers. The XH standard offers a more robust connection suitable for higher voltage packs. Fusion manufactures balance extension leads in multiple configurations—2S (XH200/2), 3S (XH200/3), 4S (XH200/4), and 6S (XH200/6)—so you can choose the right connector type and cell count for each of your batteries.
- Is 200mm long enough for my charging setup? — The 200mm length is designed to provide practical reach for most charging scenarios without excess cable. It's long enough to solve typical positioning problems when your charger and battery aren't adjacent to each other, yet short enough to remain tidy and manageable. If you need significantly more length, you may need to use multiple extension leads in series, though this is rarely necessary in typical RC charging setups.
- Will this extension lead work with all XH-equipped chargers and balance boards? — Yes, this extension lead features standard XH connectors on both ends, making it compatible with any charger or balance board that has XH ports rated for 6S battery packs. Whether you're using a standalone balance board or a multi-function charger with integrated balance capability, as long as it features XH connectors, this extension lead will work.
- Is this suitable for beginners new to RC charging? — Absolutely. This is one of the simplest RC accessories you can buy—it's simply a quality cable with connectors on both ends. Beginners benefit from using extension leads because they reduce the risk of straining connectors on their batteries by forcing awkward angles during charging. Simply plug one end into your battery's balance port and the other into your charger's balance board port, and you're ready to charge safely and conveniently.
- How often will I need to replace this extension lead? — With proper care, a quality extension lead like this Fusion product should last for years and hundreds of charging cycles. The main wear point is the connectors themselves—if you repeatedly force connectors together at bad angles or apply excessive force, they can eventually loosen. Using this extension lead correctly will actually extend the lifespan of your batteries' balance connectors by allowing proper alignment during charging.
