The Overlander Deans Charge Lead – 200mm 16AWG (4mm Banana Plugs to Male Deans/T-Plug) – 2638 is designed to provide a secure, efficient, and safe connection when charging your RC batteries.

Why choose the Overlander 2638 Deans Charge Lead?

The Overlander Deans Charge Lead 200mm 16AWG is built for RC hobbyists who demand reliable charging connections with minimal resistance and maximum safety. Featuring high-quality 16AWG wire, durable connectors, and a 200mm length for flexibility, it ensures stable performance across charging cycles. This cable is trusted for its compatibility, ease of use, and ability to withstand repeated handling without compromising efficiency.

What does 16AWG wiring offer?

The use of 16AWG wire provides an optimal balance between flexibility and current-carrying capability. This ensures that the charge lead can handle the required current levels without overheating, while still remaining easy to manage and connect. It helps deliver consistent charging performance while keeping resistance levels low, protecting both your charger and battery.

Why is 200mm length ideal?

The 200mm length has been selected to provide practical flexibility without unnecessary bulk. It offers enough reach to connect comfortably between your charger and battery while reducing excess cable that could get in the way. This makes the Overlander 2638 convenient for use on workbenches, tracksides, and home charging setups.

How do the 4mm banana plugs improve connection?

Fitted with 4mm banana plugs, this charge lead provides a universal fit for most RC battery chargers. Banana plugs are widely recognised for their reliability, low resistance, and ease of use. The secure fit ensures stable electrical contact, minimising the chances of loose connections that could lead to inefficient charging or safety issues.

What is the benefit of the Male Deans/T-Plug connector?

The Male Deans (also known as T-Plug) connector is one of the most popular battery connectors in the RC hobby. Known for its ability to handle high current loads with minimal resistance, it provides safe and efficient power transfer during charging. The use of a Male Deans/T-Plug makes this charge lead compatible with a wide range of LiPo batteries used in RC cars, planes, helicopters, and boats.

Is the Overlander 2638 durable and safe?

The Overlander Deans Charge Lead is designed for repeated use under typical RC conditions. The high-quality materials and robust construction ensure long life, while the secure connections reduce risks associated with poor contact. Overlander tests its charge leads for safety and consistency, providing hobbyists with peace of mind that their equipment is well protected during charging.
