Overview

The Traxxas Springs, Front (White) (progressive rate) (2 pcs) TRX6857 are custom-wound suspension components designed to transform the handling characteristics of your RC vehicle. These white progressive-rate springs are engineered specifically for Traxxas Ultra Shocks, offering a sophisticated tuning solution that balances responsiveness with durability. Whether you're a dedicated RC enthusiast in the UK looking to fine-tune your short course truck or monster truck, or you're exploring the world of RC car tuning for the first time, these springs represent a significant upgrade over standard suspension components. The progressive-rate design is particularly valued by serious RC racers and weekend bashers alike, as it provides the kind of precision handling adjustment that can make a real difference on the track or at the bash spot.

Traxxas has established itself as a leader in RC innovation, and these springs are no exception. The progressive-rate tuning springs are available in multiple rates to suit virtually any setup, meaning you can dial in your truck's suspension to match your driving style, track conditions, or personal preference. The white powdercoated finish not only looks professional and maintains its appearance through countless hours of use, but the colour coding system makes it instantly clear which rate you're running. For anyone serious about RC performance in the UK market, whether you're upgrading a Mini Maxx BL-2S or a Slash HD XL-5 short course truck, investing in quality tuning springs is one of the most effective ways to improve your vehicle's handling without major structural modifications.

These suspension springs are sold as a pair, providing both front springs you need for a complete front suspension upgrade. The custom-wound construction ensures that each spring maintains consistent performance throughout its lifespan, and the durable powdercoated finish means these springs will look and perform like new even after extended use. Whether you're preparing for competition or simply want to experience the responsiveness that proper suspension tuning brings to your RC car, the Traxxas TRX6857 springs deliver professional-grade performance at a competitive price point.

Key Features

  • Progressive-Rate Design — The progressive-rate construction provides responsive control for small bumps and track imperfections, whilst simultaneously developing a progressively stiffer rate to absorb harder impacts and big hits, giving you compliance without sacrificing durability or control.
  • Custom-Wound Construction — Each spring is custom-wound specifically for Traxxas Ultra Shocks, ensuring optimal performance characteristics and reliability that you simply cannot achieve with generic aftermarket springs.
  • White Powdercoated Finish — The durable powdercoated finish provides lasting good looks and protection against corrosion and wear, maintaining the professional appearance of your suspension throughout countless sessions.
  • Colour-Coded Rate Identification — The white colour coding system allows you to instantly identify the spring rate, making it simple to manage multiple spring sets and track which rates work best for different conditions and setups.
  • Sold as a Pair — These springs are provided as a pair, giving you both front springs required for a complete front suspension upgrade without needing to purchase multiple packages.
  • Precision Tuning Capability — The availability of multiple rates across Traxxas's progressive spring line allows you to hone your truck's handling to an ever greater degree of precision, enabling competitive advantage or simply enhanced driving enjoyment.

Technical Performance

The Traxxas TRX6857 springs represent engineering excellence in RC suspension design. Built with progressive-rate technology, these springs deliver a variable stiffness curve that begins soft for excellent small-bump compliance and gradually increases in stiffness to handle larger impacts and high-speed runs. This approach provides a significant advantage over linear-rate springs, which offer the same stiffness throughout the entire compression range. The white finish indicates a specific rate within Traxxas's colour-coded tuning system, and the custom-wound construction ensures that spring rates remain consistent and reliable across all conditions. These front springs are specifically engineered for compatibility with Traxxas Ultra Shocks, meaning they integrate seamlessly with your existing suspension geometry and mounting points. The powdercoated finish is not merely cosmetic—it provides genuine protection against moisture, UV exposure, and the mechanical wear that occurs during regular RC use. Whether you're running a Mini Maxx BL-2S, Slash HD XL-5, or another compatible Traxxas model, these springs will deliver measurable improvements in handling precision, bump absorption, and overall ride quality. The material selection and spring rate tuning reflects Traxxas's commitment to performance, ensuring that these springs maintain their characteristics through thousands of compression cycles.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What vehicles are these Traxxas TRX6857 springs compatible with? — These springs are designed for use with Traxxas models equipped with Ultra Shocks. Compatible vehicles include the Traxxas Mini Maxx BL-2S (available in Black, Orange, Green, and Blue variants) and Traxxas Slash HD XL-5 1/10 2WD RTR Short Course Truck (available in Green, Red, Blue, and Orange). Always verify your vehicle model before purchasing to ensure compatibility with your specific setup.
  • What does progressive-rate mean and why is it better than standard springs? — Progressive-rate springs feature a variable stiffness curve that starts soft for small bumps and gradually becomes stiffer as compressed further, handling big hits more effectively. This design provides superior compliance over rough terrain and better absorption of hard impacts compared to linear-rate springs, which maintain the same stiffness throughout their entire compression range. For RC car drivers, this means smoother handling and improved traction on varied terrain.
  • Are these front springs available in different rates? — Yes, Traxxas offers progressive-rate springs in multiple rates to suit different setups and driving styles. The springs are colour-coded to easily identify the rate, and different rates are available including softer and stiffer options to match your specific tuning needs.
  • How do I know which spring rate is right for my RC car? — Spring rate selection depends on your vehicle weight, driving style, track surface, and personal preference. Softer springs (colour-coded orange or green) provide more compliance for rough surfaces and casual bashing, whilst stiffer springs (colour-coded blue or pink) offer better support for high-speed racing and smooth tracks. We recommend starting with the recommended rate for your vehicle and adjusting from there based on your experience.
  • Why should I upgrade from stock springs to these Traxxas tuning springs? — Stock springs are designed for general-purpose use, whilst the TRX6857 progressive-rate springs offer superior tuning precision, custom-wound construction specifically for Ultra Shocks, and the durability needed for serious RC use. Upgrading provides measurably better handling, improved bump absorption, and the ability to fine-tune your suspension to match your specific driving conditions and preferences.
  • What is the advantage of the white powdercoated finish? — The powdercoated finish provides durable protection against corrosion, moisture, UV exposure, and mechanical wear. This means your springs will maintain their performance characteristics and appearance through extensive use, whilst also providing genuine functional protection rather than purely aesthetic benefits.
