- Complete Windshield Wiper Assembly — The kit includes left, right, and rear windshield wipers that add functional-looking detail to your RC body, creating an authentic scale appearance that catches the eye whether displayed or running on the trail.
- Wiper Retainers (2 pcs) — Heavy-duty retainers secure the wiper assemblies to the body, ensuring they stay in place during aggressive trail runs and maintain their position through suspension articulation.

- O-Rings (4 pcs) — These rubber o-rings seal connections and provide vibration dampening, helping the mirror and wiper assemblies resist shock loads encountered during off-road trail crawling.
- Self-Tapping Screws (3 x 1.6x5 BCS) — Precision self-tapping fasteners provide secure mounting points for the detail accessories, engineered to thread into plastic body panels without pre-drilling.

Technical Performance
The TRX8817 accessory kit is engineered with scale accuracy and durability in mind, utilising moulded plastic construction for the mirrors and wipers that resists the stresses of trail crawling whilst maintaining a lightweight design. The black finish on the side mirrors provides a modern aesthetic that complements both modern and classic truck body designs. The windshield wiper assemblies are designed with proper articulation and range of motion, allowing them to move realistically when manipulated, adding that extra level of scale authenticity that collectors and enthusiasts appreciate. The included hardware—body clips, o-rings, and self-tapping screws—are all genuine Traxxas components manufactured to exacting tolerances, ensuring they work seamlessly with Traxxas TRX-4 platforms. The o-rings provide vibration isolation and help distribute load across mounting points, whilst the self-tapping screws feature precise threading that grips plastic body materials securely without splitting or stripping. This combination of precision engineering and quality materials means your detail accessories will survive the rough and tumble of UK trail crawling events and weekend bashing sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Will these mirrors and wipers fit my TRX-4? — Yes, provided your vehicle is one of the compatible Traxxas TRX-4 or TRX-6 models listed above. The TRX8817 is engineered specifically for Traxxas TRX-4 scale crawlers and TRX-6 6x6 models. Always check the compatibility list before ordering to ensure the parts will fit your specific model variant.
- Are these mirrors and wipers difficult to install? — No, installation is straightforward for anyone with basic RC assembly experience. The kit includes all necessary fasteners—body clips, o-rings, and self-tapping screws—along with clear mounting points on your TRX-4 body. Most users can install the full kit in under 30 minutes using standard hobby tools.
- Will the mirrors and wipers break easily? — These are scale detail parts designed for realistic appearance rather than functional operation. While the moulded plastic construction is durable enough for trail use, the mirrors and wipers are decorative accessories that may be damaged if subjected to direct impacts or crashes. They add scale authenticity but are not engineered for rugged bashing abuse like suspension components.
- Can I use these wipers on my TRX-4 Mercury or other non-TRX-4 model? — No, the TRX8817 is specifically designed for the TRX-4 and TRX-6 body styles listed in the compatibility section. Attempting to fit these parts to other Traxxas models or non-Traxxas crawlers may result in poor fit or damage to your body.
- Are the mirrors and wipers included or do I need to buy them separately? — All mirrors, wipers, retainers, and fasteners are included in this kit. You receive everything needed for complete installation on a compatible TRX-4 model—no additional accessories required.
- What colour are the mirrors and wipers? — The mirrors and wiper assemblies are finished in black, providing a modern aesthetic that complements most TRX-4 body colour schemes and looks especially striking on metallic and bright colour variants.
