Key Features
- Precision Hex Head — The hexagonal drive head ensures accurate, secure fastening with the correct hex key or driver, preventing cam-out and damage to the screw head during installation or removal, which is critical for maintaining the integrity of your RC vehicle's chassis and body panels.
- Precision Thread — The precisely machined threads grip securely in threaded holes and fastening points, ensuring that screws remain tight during intense driving conditions, whether you're bashing over rough terrain with your RC monster truck or pushing the limits at high speed on track.
- Super-Tough Material Construction — Manufactured from hardened steel or equivalent durable material, these screws resist corrosion, stripping and failure even after repeated use and removal, making them ideal for the demanding environment of RC motorsport and outdoor bashing.
- Countersunk Flat Head Design — The flat head profile sits flush with mounting surfaces, providing a clean, professional appearance on your RC vehicle whilst minimising protrusions that could catch on obstacles or damage bodywork during impacts and collisions.
- M3x8mm Specification — The M3 diameter and 8mm length specification makes these screws compatible with numerous ARRMA RC models across multiple scales, from 1/10 scale short course trucks to larger 1/8 scale buggies and beyond, providing excellent versatility for your RC collection.
- Pack of 10 Screws — Each pack contains 10 individual screws, providing sufficient quantity for multiple repairs or routine maintenance tasks, ensuring you always have spares available when needed.
Technical Performance
These ARRMA Flat Head Screws represent the level of precision engineering and attention to detail that characterises ARRMA's approach to RC vehicle design and manufacturing. The M3x8mm specification is a standard fastener size widely used throughout the ARRMA RC vehicle range, from entry-level ready-to-run RTR models to competition-grade RC buggies and trucks. The countersunk flat head design ensures that screws integrate seamlessly with ARRMA's precision-engineered chassis and body components, whilst the hardened material composition guarantees longevity even in the face of repeated assembly, disassembly and high-stress driving conditions. Whether you're replacing worn fasteners on your RC monster truck after intensive bashing sessions, securing body panels on your short course truck between races, or rebuilding components on your RC buggy, these screws deliver the reliability and performance that serious RC enthusiasts demand. The precision thread profile ensures that fasteners maintain proper torque and security without stripping or loosening, a critical requirement for vehicles that experience significant vibration, impacts and dynamic loads during operation. The hex head design provides superior grip and control compared to standard Phillips or slotted heads, reducing the risk of driver error and damage during maintenance work on your RC car.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Which ARRMA RC models use M3x8mm flat head screws? — According to ARRMA's official documentation, the M3x8mm flat head screw (AR722308) is a standard parts fitment for dozens of ARRMA models including the 1/10 Big Rock 223S and 3S, 1/10 Fury 223S and brushed variants, 1/10 Gorgon 2WD brushless and brushed, 1/10 Granite range (223S, 3S, 4X4, Boost variants), 1/10 Senton range (223S, 3S, 4X4, Boost), 1/10 Vorteks variants, 1/10 Quake, 1/10 Kraton 4S, 1/10 Outcast 4S, 1/8 Infraction (223S and 3S), 1/8 Kraton 6S, 1/8 Mojave 4S, 1/8 Notorious 6S, 1/8 Outcast 6S, 1/8 Talion 6S, 1/8 Typhon range (223S, 3S, 6S, Mega), 1/8 Vendetta, 1/7 Big Rock 6S, 1/7 Felony 6S, 1/7 Fireteam 6S, 1/7 Infraction 6S, 1/7 Limitless variants, and 1/7 Mojave 6S, plus various other models and special editions.
- Will these screws fit my ARRMA RC vehicle? — If your ARRMA RC truck, buggy, monster truck or stadium truck uses M3x8mm fasteners as standard or optional parts, these screws will be compatible. Check your vehicle's parts diagram or user manual to confirm the exact screw specifications required for your specific model, as different ARRMA vehicles may use varying fastener sizes.
- Can I use these screws for other RC brands? — Whilst the M3x8mm flat head specification is a standard metric size that may be used by other RC manufacturers, these screws are specifically engineered and tested by ARRMA for their own vehicles. For best results and to ensure reliability, use ARRMA-branded fasteners on ARRMA RC cars, or verify compatibility with your vehicle's documentation before substituting parts from other suppliers.
- How many screws do I need? — Each pack contains 10 screws. The number needed depends on your specific repair or maintenance task. For example, a single component replacement might require 2-4 screws, whilst a complete chassis or body rebuild could require multiple packs. It's always wise to keep spare packs on hand for emergency repairs during RC events or bashing sessions.
- Are these suitable for beginners? — Yes, absolutely. Replacing fasteners is one of the most basic RC maintenance tasks, and anyone can do it with a suitable hex key or screwdriver. Even novice RC enthusiasts can easily perform routine screw replacement and maintenance, making these essential spares accessible to all skill levels.
- What tools do I need to install these screws? — You'll need a hex key or hex driver that fits the M3 hex head specification. Most RC toolkits include hex keys in various sizes, and ARRMA-branded tool sets are widely available from UK RC retailers. Ensure you use the correct size hex key to avoid stripping the screw head.
- How do I ensure screws stay tight during use? — Apply moderate torque when installing these screws — tight enough to secure the component but not so tight that you strip the threads or crack plastic chassis components. Many experienced RC hobbyists apply a small amount of thread-locking compound (such as Loctite 243) to critical fasteners to prevent vibration-induced loosening during intense driving, though this is optional for routine maintenance.
