Overview
The AXIAL Hex Socket Flat Head M3x20mm Black fasteners are essential replacement and upgrade components for RC enthusiasts and serious hobbyists who demand quality hardware for their scale models. Whether you're building a new RC crawler, maintaining an existing platform, or customising your setup, these precision-engineered screws deliver the reliability and durability that serious RC car UK builders expect. Each pack contains 10 pieces of genuine Axial hardware, ensuring you have spare fasteners on hand when you need them most.
These hex socket flat head screws are specifically engineered to work with Axial's range of 1/6 scale rock crawlers and trail vehicles, making them an authentic choice for maintaining factory specifications or performing repairs. The countersunk design allows for flush fitting in component assemblies, providing a clean, professional appearance whilst maintaining structural integrity under the demanding conditions of off-road RC driving. For anyone serious about RC hobby performance, having the correct OEM-specification fasteners is absolutely crucial.
RC enthusiasts across the UK trust Axial components because they represent genuine factory parts designed and manufactured to exacting tolerances. Whether you're replacing worn fasteners, building a complete new model, or stocking your workshop with spares, these M3x20mm hex socket screws are the professional choice for maintaining your RC vehicles in peak condition.
Key Features
- M3x20mm Specification — This precise metric sizing ensures perfect compatibility with Axial RC models and components, eliminating any risk of cross-threading or loose-fitting fasteners that could compromise vehicle integrity during operation.
- Hex Socket Drive Type — The hex socket design provides secure engagement with standard hex key tools, delivering superior torque transfer and reducing the risk of stripping compared to inferior Phillips or slot drive fasteners.
- Countersunk Flat Head Design — The flat head profile sits flush with mounting surfaces, creating a streamlined appearance and preventing snags or protrusions that could interfere with suspension geometry, body panels, or rock crawling performance.
- Black Anodised Finish — The durable black colour coating resists corrosion from moisture, dirt, and harsh outdoor conditions, maintaining both aesthetic appeal and functional reliability through extended use.
- Machine Thread Construction — These are genuine machine screws rather than wood screws, featuring precision threads engineered for metal-to-metal engagement in brass inserts and threaded metal components.
- Pack of 10 Units — Each box contains ten fasteners, providing genuine spares for maintenance, repairs, or building multiple assemblies without needing to source individual replacement screws.
- Genuine Axial OEM Component — These are authentic factory-specification parts, not generic alternatives, guaranteeing perfect fitment and performance with your Axial RC models.
Technical Performance
The AXIAL Hex Socket Flat Head M3x20mm screws represent precision engineering designed specifically for demanding RC applications. At M3 diameter with 20mm length, these fasteners are sized to work with Axial's suspension mounting points, chassis assemblies, and structural components found on 1/6 scale rock crawlers and trail vehicles. The machine thread specification ensures consistent, predictable engagement with threaded inserts and metal components, eliminating the frustration of loose fasteners that can work free during aggressive off-road driving. The black finish provides both aesthetic consistency with modern RC builds and genuine corrosion resistance, crucial for vehicles subjected to moisture exposure during creek crossings, mud running, and wet terrain adventures. Unlike generic fasteners, these Axial components are manufactured to exact tolerances, ensuring reliable performance and longevity. The hex socket drive system delivers superior torque control compared to Phillips or slot-head alternatives, reducing the likelihood of stripped heads during installation or removal—a common problem with inferior fasteners. Whether you're maintaining an existing Axial SCX6 platform or building a complete new assembly, these M3x20mm screws provide the OEM-quality reliability that serious RC car enthusiasts demand.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What Axial RC models are these screws compatible with? — These M3x20mm hex socket fasteners are specifically designed for Axial's 1/6 scale rock crawler and trail vehicle range, including the SCX6 Jeep JLU Wrangler 4WD Rock Crawler and the SCX6 Trail Honcho 4WD models. They are ideal replacement parts for these platforms and essential spares for any serious Axial RC builder.
- Why should I buy genuine Axial fasteners instead of generic alternatives? — Genuine Axial components are manufactured to precise OEM specifications, ensuring perfect fitment, consistent threading, and reliable performance. Generic fasteners often have inconsistent quality, loose tolerances, and may not engage properly with Axial's threaded inserts, leading to frustrating loose components during use. For professional results and genuine peace of mind, OEM parts are always the better choice.
- Are these screws suitable for beginners? — Yes, absolutely. If you're new to the RC hobby and learning to maintain or repair your first RC crawler, these genuine Axial fasteners are an excellent investment. They eliminate guesswork about sizing and compatibility, and the hex socket design is easy to work with using standard hex key tools found in any toolbox.
- How many spare fasteners do I need? — Each Axial vehicle uses multiple M3x20mm fasteners across suspension mounts, chassis components, and structural assemblies. A single pack of 10 provides excellent spare coverage for a single vehicle, or consider stocking multiple packs if you maintain several models or regularly upgrade and rebuild your RC car setup.
- Can I use these for other projects or vehicles? — Whilst these screws are specifically designed for Axial RC models, the M3x20mm metric specification is standard across many applications. However, for optimal fitment and guaranteed compatibility with your Axial vehicle, these genuine parts are engineered specifically for Axial's component designs and threading systems.
- What is the difference between these and generic hardware store fasteners? — Axial OEM fasteners are precision-engineered with consistent tolerances, genuine black anodising for corrosion resistance, and machine-thread specifications matched to Axial's threaded inserts. Generic fasteners lack this precision, often have inferior finishes, and may not thread correctly, leading to frustration and potential damage to expensive RC components.
