Key Features
- Precision Hex Head Design — The precision-engineered hex socket provides the best possible fit with your hex driver, significantly reducing the risk of stripping both the screw and the receiver material, which means you can work confidently without worrying about damaging your RC components.
- M3x18mm Specifications — These metric fasteners measure M3 diameter by 18mm length, making them universally compatible with a wide range of Axial RC models and aftermarket components designed for standard metric hardware.
- Countersunk Flat Head Design — The countersunk head sits flush with the mounting surface once fully tightened, providing a clean aesthetic finish and preventing the screw head from catching on suspension components or chassis elements during operation.
- Durable Black Coated Steel Construction — Manufactured from high-quality steel with a protective black coating, these screws resist corrosion and oxidation, extending their service life even in challenging outdoor RC environments and wet conditions.
- Machine Thread Configuration — The machine thread design ensures consistent engagement and reliable fastening without requiring nuts, simplifying assembly and reducing the number of loose components in your RC model.
- Pack of 10 Units — Each package contains 10 individual screws, providing you with sufficient hardware for multiple repairs, upgrades, or complete builds, reducing the need for frequent reordering.
- Genuine Axial Factory Hardware — As officially manufactured by Axial, these fasteners meet the exact specifications required for Axial RC models and are built to last through countless hours of RC activity.
Technical Performance
These M3x18mm hex socket flat head screws represent precision engineering at its finest, constructed from durable black-coated steel that withstands the rigours of RC driving. The metric M3 diameter provides excellent strength-to-weight ratio whilst remaining lightweight enough not to add unnecessary mass to your RC build. The 18mm length offers versatility for a wide range of assembly applications across different Axial platforms and compatible chassis designs. The precision hex socket design is engineered to exacting tolerances, ensuring that your hex driver engages fully with minimal play, which dramatically reduces the likelihood of stripping during assembly or maintenance. The countersunk flat head configuration allows these screws to sit flush with mounting surfaces, maintaining aerodynamic integrity and preventing interference with moving suspension components. The black coating not only provides excellent corrosion protection for extended lifespan but also delivers a professional, finished appearance to your RC builds. Whether you're assembling a ready to run RC straight out of the box or performing routine maintenance on a well-used competition vehicle, the consistent quality of genuine Axial factory hardware ensures reliable performance every single time.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the M3x18mm specification, and what does it mean? — M3 refers to the metric diameter of the screw at 3 millimetres, whilst 18mm is the total length of the fastener from the tip to the bottom of the head. This sizing is universal across RC hobby applications and compatible with metric-threaded receiver holes on Axial RC models and many aftermarket components.
- Why is the precision hex head design important for my RC car UK? — The precision hex socket ensures that your hex driver fits perfectly into the screw head without any wobble or play, which means you can apply consistent torque during installation without risk of stripping the hex socket or the receiver material, extending the life of both your fasteners and your chassis.
- Are these screws suitable for high-vibration RC applications? — Yes, these machine thread screws are specifically designed for reliable fastening in the vibration-prone environment of RC vehicles, and the precision fit of the hex socket helps maintain consistent clamping force throughout extensive RC sessions.
- What makes black-coated steel better than standard steel for RC fasteners? — The black protective coating resists corrosion and oxidation far better than bare steel, which is especially important if you use your RC outdoors or in wet conditions, ensuring that your fasteners remain in excellent condition and resist rust and degradation over time.
- How many repairs or builds can I complete with a pack of 10 screws? — A pack of 10 M3x18mm screws provides sufficient hardware for several small repairs, upgrades, or partial builds on RC models, though serious RC competitors often keep multiple packs in stock for larger construction projects or when building complete RC vehicles from scratch.
- Is this suitable for beginners assembling ready to run RC models? — Absolutely, these genuine Axial fasteners are perfect for beginners because the precision hex head design makes them easy to use without stripping, and their universal metric sizing means they work across a wide range of RC models and components.
- What is the difference between these countersunk flat head screws and pan head alternatives? — Countersunk flat head screws sit completely flush with the mounting surface once installed, whereas pan head screws protrude slightly, making flat heads ideal for RC applications where you need a clean finish and want to prevent the screw head from interfering with suspension movement or aerodynamics.
