SBD-1 S.Bus Decoder
(01102338-1; 01102339-1; 01102340-1; 01102341-1; 01102342-1)
S.Bus Decoders are used to communicate from an S.Bus receiver port to 3 non-S.Bus capable servos.
SBD-1 can be used with S.Bus and S.Bus2; 4.8 - 7.4V
3 port S.Bus -> PWM Converter
The Futaba S.BUS Servo Decoder Lead – the SBD-1 1100 mm – part number FUT05102490-1, is a purposeful accessory that expands your S.BUS or S.BUS2 system by converting those signals into three standard PWM outputs—filling the gap between advanced radio systems and traditional servos.
Why choose the Futaba SBD-1?
This 1.1 m lead directly connects to your receiver’s S.BUS port and provides PWM outputs for up to three non-S.BUS servos—perfect for adding retracts, lights, or legacy servos without the need for separate receivers. It simplifies setups while maintaining signal integrity and reliability.
What’s included?
- One Futaba SBD-1 Servo Decoder Lead (1,100 mm cable)
- 3× PWM female servo connectors
- S.BUS compatible male connector
Performance & practical function
The SBD-1 smartly decodes the digital S.BUS/S.BUS2 stream and outputs clean PWM signals to conventional servos, ensuring seamless compatibility while preserving system cohesion.
Design integrity & convenience
With durable connectors and a flexible, 1,100 mm cable, the SBD-1 remains reliable under repeated use and fits neatly through tight fuselage builds, providing deployment versatility.
Ease of installation
Simply connect the S.BUS end to the receiver and plug your servos into the PWM leads—no programming or adapters required. It supports 4.8–7.4 V input, making it suitable for most servo power setups.
Common use scenarios
- Operate airbrakes, flaps, lights, or retracts using analog servos on an S.BUS-controlled model
- Retain trusted analog servos while upgrading to modern S.BUS transmitters
- Build cleaner, lighter installations by minimizing receivers and wiring
Maintenance & best practices
- Ensure proper seating of the S.BUS connector to maintain signal stability
- Keep cable tidy—secure with light tie-wraps to avoid strain
- Favor a stable 5–6 V power source to preserve servo performance
Benefits summary
- Bridges S.BUS systems and legacy PWM servos effortlessly
- Long 1.1 m cable allows flexible installation
- Compact, lightweight, and reliable in the air
- Plug-and-play simplicity without soldering or programing
- Compatible with both S.BUS and S.BUS2 systems
