Whether you're a dedicated RC enthusiast in the UK or a weekend basher looking to maintain your model's handling characteristics, these replacement shock springs are an essential spare part for keeping your RC car running at its best. Selected specifically by ARRMA's engineering team for perfect suspension performance, these springs ensure your vehicle maintains its intended ride height, dampening characteristics and overall handling balance across a variety of driving conditions.

Available as a pair, these 55mm shock springs are manufactured to the exacting standards you'd expect from a leading RC manufacturer. They're compatible with several ARRMA VORTEKS 2WD stadium truck models, making them ideal for both casual drivers and those who participate in regular track sessions. If you're replacing worn springs or setting up a duplicate vehicle for racing, these genuine ARRMA components guarantee authenticity and perfect fitment, eliminating the guesswork that often comes with finding compatible aftermarket suspension parts for your RC car UK setup.

These shock springs represent genuine manufacturer replacement parts, ensuring they've been thoroughly tested for compatibility and performance. Rather than gambling with unknown alternatives, investing in genuine ARRMA suspension components is the smart choice for anyone serious about maintaining their RC model's performance and longevity.

Key Features

  • Strong and durable spring steel construction — Manufactured from high-quality spring steel, these components are built to withstand repeated compression and extension cycles without losing their spring rate characteristics, ensuring your vehicle maintains consistent suspension performance lap after lap, day after day.
  • Precision manufactured for fast and easy fit — Every component is produced to exacting tolerances, meaning these springs install without modification or adjustment, saving you valuable setup time and ensuring they work perfectly with your existing shock absorber assemblies.
  • Perfect spring rate for ARRMA VORTEKS performance — At 0.547N/mm (3.12lb/in), this spring rate has been specifically selected by ARRMA engineers to deliver the ideal balance between ride comfort and responsive handling on the 1/10 scale VORTEKS 2WD platform, giving you the suspension geometry the vehicle was designed for.
  • 55mm length specification — These springs are manufactured to the exact length required by compatible ARRMA models, ensuring proper suspension geometry, ride height and overall vehicle balance without requiring spacers or modifications.
  • Genuine ARRMA replacement component — Purchasing original manufacturer springs eliminates compatibility concerns and guarantees you're receiving a part that meets ARRMA's quality standards and specifications, protecting your investment in your RC vehicle.
  • Supplied as a pair — This pack contains two springs, providing matched suspension geometry across both shock absorbers on your vehicle, which is essential for maintaining balanced handling characteristics.

Technical Performance

The ARRMA Shock Springs 55mm 0.547N/mm (3.12lb/in) represent a critical suspension component for maintaining your RC vehicle's handling balance and performance characteristics. The 0.547N/mm spring rate (equivalent to 3.12lb/in in imperial measurement) has been engineered specifically for the 1/10 scale VORTEKS 2WD stadium truck platform, delivering the precise vertical compliance that ARRMA designers intended. At 55mm in length, these springs ensure proper ride height and suspension geometry, which directly impacts your vehicle's cornering grip, acceleration traction and overall responsiveness through turns. The spring steel construction provides consistent spring rate characteristics across thousands of compression cycles, preventing spring fatigue degradation that can occur with lower-quality alternatives. For RC car UK enthusiasts who demand reliability and predictable performance, whether you're running casual track days or competitive sessions, these genuine manufacturer springs deliver the engineering precision that defines ARRMA's reputation in the ready to run RC and competition markets. The springs' durability ensures that once fitted, you can focus on driving rather than worrying about suspension degradation, making them a worthwhile investment in your vehicle's long-term reliability and performance consistency.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which ARRMA vehicles are these shock springs compatible with? — These 55mm 0.547N/mm springs are designed for the ARRMA VORTEKS 2WD 1/10 scale stadium truck platform. Compatible models include the VORTEKS 2WD (standard version without battery/charger), VORTEKS 2WD with Battery and Charger in both Orange and Purple variants. Always verify your model number before purchasing to ensure compatibility.
  • What does the 0.547N/mm spring rate mean and why is it important? — The spring rate (measured in Newtons per millimetre in metric, or pounds per inch in imperial) determines how stiff the spring is. A 0.547N/mm rate means the spring compresses gradually under load, providing a balance between comfort and responsiveness. ARRMA selected this specific rate for the VORTEKS 2WD to deliver optimal handling on both smooth track surfaces and slightly bumpy terrain without sacrificing ride comfort or traction.
  • Do I need to replace my shock springs regularly? — Shock springs can lose their spring rate over time through repeated compression cycles, especially under heavy use or on bumpy terrain. If you notice your vehicle sitting lower than normal, handling becoming unstable, or the springs feeling mushy or overly compliant, it's time to replace them with fresh springs like these ARRMA originals.
  • Are these suitable for beginners? — Yes, absolutely. These are genuine manufacturer replacement springs, meaning if your ARRMA VORTEKS 2WD came equipped with them originally, they're perfectly suitable for beginners and experienced drivers alike. They represent the factory-intended suspension setup for these vehicles.
  • What is the difference between the 55mm and other available lengths? — ARRMA offers shock springs in different lengths (such as the 80mm variants) for different vehicle platforms and suspension tuning purposes. The 55mm length is specifically designed for the VORTEKS 2WD platform. Using the correct length ensures proper suspension geometry and vehicle handling; using incorrect lengths can compromise ride height and handling balance.
  • How do I install these shock springs? — These springs simply slide onto the shock shaft and compress onto your existing shock absorber bodies. They're designed for quick, tool-free installation with no modifications required. If you're unfamiliar with RC suspension assembly, our expert team at RC Model Shop can provide guidance or installation support.
