Conventional Cooking
The 50THLG’s single oven offers 43 litres of usable space for large family meals – and the two shelves make it easy to cook multiple items at the same time. As it’s a gas oven, it offers some great advantages over convection or electric models.
Most importantly, conventional gas ovens deliver a moist heat for cooking succulent meats and baking delicious cakes. Plus, gas is cheaper than electricity, so you can save a few pennies too.
Turning on the oven is safe and easy with the push-button ignition system – simply turn the control to the start position and hold down the ignition button. The controls are easy to grip, and a positive response helps you select the right temperature or setting.
Inside the oven, you’ll find easy-clean enamel liners, which help to prevent food from fusing to the oven’s walls. This makes it much easier to clean the 50THLG.
The oven door is double glazed to retain the heat, and there’s a handy storage compartment at the bottom of this New World cooker – ideal for keeping your pots, pans and baking trays.
High Level Grill
Cookers with high level grills aren’t as common any more – but thankfully, New World has kept this traditional style going with the freestanding 50THLG. It also comes with a grillpan and trivet so you can get grilling straightaway.
This variable temperature high level grill is ideal for keeping food at eye level so you can see how it’s cooking. Check that the cheese is bubbling on your toast, or that your bacon is crisping, without having to bend down or pull the shelf out of the oven.
As the grill is separate, it also means you can cook in the oven and grill simultaneously – perfect for grilling a burger and cooking your chips at the same time.
Gas Hobs
Featuring four hob burners, the New World 50THLG makes it easy to cook with multiple pans. Three different sizes allow you to use a burner that’s suited to your pan, so you can cook as efficiently as possible.
Gas hobs also offer instant heat, which is easy to control. And, the flame will spread right across the bottom of your pan for even cooking.
All four burners are fitted with a flame safety device (FSD) – so, if the flame goes out when the pan boils over, the gas will be cut off automatically.
The hob also comes with gloss enamel pan supports, which keep your pans in position and add to the cooker’s traditional look.

- We will contact you at least 1 day before your scheduled delivery to confirm the date and ensure that you will be available to receive your order. This helps us coordinate effectively, and gives you peace of mind that everything is on track.
- To help you prepare, we will provide an estimated delivery time window ahead of the scheduled date. On the day of delivery, our driver will give you a courtesy call approximately 15 minutes before arriving at your address. You will also receive an email with the driver's contact information in case you need to reach them.
- Delivery and collection of large appliances and televisions are limited to ground floor access only. If you have arranged for an appliance to be collected for recycling, please make sure it is fully emptied, disconnected, and placed outside your property in a single, complete unit. We are unable to collect items that have been taken apart or separated into multiple pieces.
- When your order is delivered, our team will carefully unpack the items so you can inspect them thoroughly. This allows you to confirm that everything has arrived in excellent condition and that all accessories and components are included.
- Delivery is included with most of our products, offering exceptional value along with convenience. For the majority of mainland UK locations, orders are typically delivered within 1 to 3 working days from the date of purchase. Deliveries to Scotland are usually completed on Saturdays. For regions such as Devon and Somerset, deliveries generally take place on Thursdays or Fridays.
- In some cases, due to high demand or the nature of the product, your order may be delivered by an external courier. If this applies, a delivery fee may be added. Any applicable charges will be clearly shown at checkout before you complete your purchase.
- For products listed as "Dispatched within 3 working days", the delivery timeframe is typically 3 to 5 working days from the date your order is confirmed. We make every effort to ensure your items arrive within that period.
